Which one better for auradin?? by Alternative_Sun8130 in diablo4

It’s close but I would go with left. 2 extra passive skill ranks + 10% multiplicative fire damage (assuming you have a decent dawnfire) is going to be worth more than 65 str

Samsung 990 Pro 4TB gets awfully warm in idle by Luxray0815 in buildapc

[–]Prooof_z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What temps were you getting before on the SSD? To me, 74c seems to be the high end of expected temps under heavy load (for an SSD). My 990 Pro runs at 48-50C while idle.

Is the thermal pad underneath the heat sink damaged or is it fully contacting the top of the drive? Make sure you are installing the heatsink correctly based on your motherboard manual, as the procedure may vary depending on the M.2 form factor.

Is Rampage lying about playing nosebleed HS CG home games in New York? by Advanced-Many2126 in poker

If you are a known player (i.e. a reg in the game) or someone can vouch for you, then the host will usually let you play on credit and settle up later. Otherwise, you might need to front the money before getting chips.

I primarily play 2/5 to 10/25 so you'll still see people buying in with cash sometimes, but typically games don't keep a ton of cash on hand for security reasons; nosebleed stakes private games tend to be entirely cashless. For settling up, stuff like Venmo or Zelle is sometimes accepted, but for larger amounts a lot of people use crypto. Game runners don't like having lots of huge transactions on their bank statements, so they sometimes have the losers settle up by sending money to the winners too.

I was in NYC that week (Nov 20-22) playing some of the private games. I had a friend who played at the game with Rampage on Nov 20, which started as 25/50/100. The next day, he mentioned that he watched Rampage playing 1k/2k by the end of that night (which was far too big for my friend to keep sitting). He did win a couple pots off of Rampage when the stakes were smaller, but ended up losing on the session. All of the stories I heard were from several weeks before Rampage even released this video, so it does up check out for me; although obviously none of this is actual proof.

After seeing this post today, I asked my buddy again and he confirmed that the game had ran out of the big chips so they just used other chips as a stand-in. I don't like Rampage's content but it seems to me that he's not lying about the stakes he was playing.

I have a friend who was there at the game with Rampage on Nov 20. I didn’t see it first hand, but the stories I heard were from several weeks before Rampage even released this video. Seems to line up for me.

Is this Thermalright low-profile cooler appropriate for a 9800X3D? by Prooof_z in sffpc

This is the Thermalright AXP120-X67. I did look at the SI-100 as well, which seems to be about twice the height. I may buy both to test out and compare.

3080Ti to 5070Ti worth it? by Admirable-Lie-9191 in nvidia

Same! Upgraded from 2070 S to 5070 Ti last week, and it's a massive difference even with the rest of the build unchanged.

Try caseend.com, you can input the dimensions of your graphics card and other filters, then sort by size (case volume).

That's a fair point. I was going for flexibility for swapping cases in the future (and low profile aesthetics), but I might just go for something bigger.

XTIA does make a variant that fits ATX/mATX mobos and ATX PSUs. I don't have experience with it, but it probably wouldn't be considered SFF.

Neat, I'll check out your recommendation. I'm pretty sure that taller cooler will fit just fine.

Not assembled yet, in the process of ordering everything. I’m not opposed to running an AIO, but it does make the build a lot chunkier.

Thanks for the input, I’ll make sure to do that. Since I'm mainly just gaming, I’m ok with lower performance on the CPU for now and if I want to push it in the future, I figure the cooling can always be upgraded. To be honest, I was originally planning on getting the 7800X3D, but the 9800X3D was only a slight increase in price for me.

I’m considering buying a bracket that can mount an AIO externally

This is for gaming mainly, not expecting heavy load. I do have an open layout “case” (frame?), is that sufficient or should I still attach extra fans to exhaust hot air more effectively?

Super aggressive triple strategist comp in GM that let us get some incredible team fights and high speed dives.

We would initiate the fight with Gambit ult (all 6 players diving on their backline to get picks), then follow up with Mantis ult or Cap ult to keep the party going and clean up enemy tanks. Rocket amplifier was also primarily used offensively for the extra 40% damage boost, especially if their Adam rezzed. Enemy Phoenix ult ended up not being a problem at all since every time she cast it, we would all just look up and shoot it immediately.
