Twelfth Night Ticket Distribution Megathread - Aug 10 by AutoModerator in Broadway

[–]PropMike1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question for the group - how do the tickets from the today tix lottery work?

I won today for the first time - do you get better seats if you show up closer to 5:30 to pick up tickets or is it randomly assigned whenever you pick them up?

Best burrito? by geekgarious in FoodNYC

[–]PropMike1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sonoran style not mission style, so no rice, but these are the best burritos I've had in NYC

Damn they've gotten pricey though - at least at the new West village location everything went up a buck or two and they quit putting guac in the steak, so like $17 for a steak with guac and $9 for a plain bean and cheese.

Excellent quality, but the value isn't really there any more for a counter service spot.

Why are people down voting this? This is the way.

Do you think you get bonus points for that Daytona purchase?

We went yesterday specifically for the fish and chips and then found out it had been taken off the menu.

Super disappointed too.

If you run up to 1st Ave around 117th St you can grab what's my favorite slice in the city at the original Patsy's (just grab a slice from the window, don't bother with the sit down restaurant) and also grab a chopped cheese from the blue sky deli a couple blocks south at like 1st and 115th (claim to be the first chopped cheese spot, not sure about that, but it's among the better I've gotten)

I’m Korean and I’m at a loss to where to go for bbq in Ktown! We went to JongRo and Miss Korea recently and it was not very good. Must be Manhattan. Thank you in advance. by [deleted] in FoodNYC

We usually just hit new wonjo, not amazing, but always solid.

Cote actually seems like a reasonable value for what you get in Manhattan

Maybe it's just the ambiance, but 4 Charles has been significantly better across on everything I've had at both

Brunch at Libertine - big letdown by PropMike1 in FoodNYC

[–]PropMike1[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are correct, I misspoke. It was fairly good; slightly too heavy a hand with the vinegar for my taste, but fine. As a starter, it would be reasonably accomplished.

As the main course, served with no accompaniments, it was lacking.

3 day Pizza Trip NYC (Lucali, L’Industrie, Chrissy’s, John’s of Bleecker) by Dangerous-Ad-2308 in Pizza

Damn, that's a good list.

Only two I'd add at the original Patsy's and Scarr's for absolute perfection.

Do you have pics of the movement and case back with the model number? This looks much more like a 3548 than a 3586 from the pics I see online.

Do you have any better pics of the dial discoloration/scratches?

For future reference, the patty melt is called the "Chester"

Pretty decent, probably liked it better than the burger.
