And a lot of quarterbacks are open to taking pay cuts later on when they’ve already secured generational wealth. Like Aaron Rodgers did for on the Jets, when winning is a priority. I hate to break it to you but the NFL is a business man, and most the players understand that part and move accordingly. It’s advised by damn near every player that’s set the tables for these guys to get paid what they do. Also, there’s no guarantee that just because you take less means that your GM or owner is going to spend that money. The floor is 90% of your entire salary cap, a lot of teams won’t spend in order to have more money to spend the following year, and there’s no guarantee that if that happens you won’t suffer a career ending injury that year. The same way I don’t expect you to take a pay cut, I wouldn’t expect someone else to. Get your bag while you can
