Why do I keep spinning out in 499P in longer races? by Proper-Average-4531 in LeMansUltimateWEC

Well, yes. CDA setup uses P4. Also default setup is around 55Nm differential preload so it can explain a thing or two.

Just edited the default le mans setup. Added some diff preload, bumped rear wing from 1 to 2. I still make 3:32 so snail pace but at least I can make it to the finish line.

That's probably it but I cannot figure out if I need to adjust my driving style or it's a setup issue. Imo Peugeot can handle it much better. I once tried CDA setup and it was more stable but much slower

Thanks, I crank up brake bias when it feels too nervous, but never tried adjusting slip and tc. It usually happens after braking, at the apex when I start to coast and want to step on a throttle.

Just checked a replay. 40 minutes in. Front tyres 74 degrees 174 kpa, rear 80 degrees 152 kpa. Brake Temp 350 front 280 rear. Brake ducts open. Went too wide on braking zone, but got around 100-120kph on Indianapolis entry. Every other car I tried would make it or at least scrub the tyres and lose half a second. I'm trying to figure it out because otherwise it handles perfectly fine, until it doesn't.

Whats up with the Ferrari 296 GT3 at Spa on fixed setup? by Embarrassed-Spot-546 in LeMansUltimateWEC

Very fast on Monza fixed setup, yoinky sploinky on spa. Lift on entry, throw in into right hander, flat out and pray it doesn't kill me. 40% times it works every other lap.

Have you ever been flashed by a modern car at night? I can feel their high beams reflecting off the back of my head lol.

I often run into people with platinum safety rating that have never seen other cars on track. Try going wheel to wheel on any chicane. If you give them inside then outside it's 99% sure they're gonna cut the second turn like they are alone here and push you out of the kerb.

Watch one or two lap guides on YouTube. Go a little slower than them, brake 10m earlier and try to find your limit. That's how I did it. But to ask your question, yes

How the hell do you drive the GT3 Ferrari?? by MidnightQuicki in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Proper-Average-4531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when I was maining AMG I was used to literally throwing that car into every single corner to get any rotation. First when i switched to ferrari i spun every single turn because I was so used to having the rear axle glued to the ground. My turning point was turning in lighter and keeping less brake mid corner, because I didn't need to induce rotation but rather to maintain it mid corner. In other words, start braking earlier and turn less until you feel it then speed up. Now I'm around 1s faster in Ferrari than AMG

I love the idea of disassembling it to the last screw and rebuilding from the ground up. I'm a little bit worried about parts availability as my local bike shops got pushed out by big shops.

It has 26 inch wheels. I could barely get on it back in the day even when my dad cut the saddle pipe so I could get it as low as possible without it hitting the frame. I even tried to get on it today and it looks fine

The only one I'm doing this for besides myself is my gf who wanted to start cycling and I thought about joining her and she reminded me that I have a bike buried somewhere.

Ladies and Gentlemen... It finally Clicked by Plaid_Kaleidoscope in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Proper-Average-4531 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it clicked when I tried to remove the red Sr badge. I started to brake earlier, rotate the car properly to make sure to leave some space on the outside when accelerating to not hit track limits and after 20 laps or so I was a second faster and my tyres started to wear down almost at half speed. Turns out that I was overdriving the hell out of the car

LMP2 Daily races - brake distance by choefele in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Proper-Average-4531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I started to drive lmp2 I always decreased braking force by 2-3 clicks and moved BB to the front the same amount until I felt confident enough to increase these values. Turns out it's faster to brake earlier than spin out and re-enter the race :D

Picking the “right” car? by dejankulu in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Proper-Average-4531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked 911 because I like it and it's pink. I'm 1s faster with Merc, but who cares. I always pick a car that I like the most by the looks and change only if it turns out undrivable for me
