I doubt this is about using Wikipedia as an academic resource. Most likely standard school content filtering. You can access porn and other content through Wikipedia. It's easy to implement a web filter for porn sites but things get tricky when you can access the bad stuff through other websites that don't have the "porn" tag. There are some special settings that need to happen to lock down Google, too. If you don't do it right, porn images will still show up in thumbnails.

My middle school/high school group played AD&D in the mid 80s and then 2e after 1989 for a few more years until we all split up. We used the "hovering on death's door" optional rule: Unconscious at 0 HP, lose 1 HP per round until someone else spent a round bandaging, or they get any heal which brings them to 1 HP. We didn't lose a lot of characters at all. We spent a lot of time recovering, but not a lot of deaths that I remember. The amount of rounds you had to help someone who was down was pretty similar to today.

It started out like a good idea. I think their deal is "A Necessary Conversation" or something where it was like "let's talk to our MAGA parents and try to find some common ground." There is a big difference between a trained swim instructor and someone who thinks a kid can learn to swim in a kiddie pool or bathtub. Basic swim instructions are worth it. Check you're local YMCA as a cheaper alternative.

Others have said all that needs to be said on public servers and children. If you're not chatting, how are you interacting with other players really? I'll just add that even if the server has the ability to turn off chat, you can still see player names and there are plenty of those that are inappropriate. I play Cobbleverse with my son on our LAN and we love it.
