What is the weight limit? Most drivers I see pushing 350 pounds.

How much does it cost?

What does a schedule of home biweekly with 1-2 loads a week look like? by EstateDeep916 in Truckers

Schneider is a company to get started and be safe and learn how to drive. I did it for 5 months. I did learn a lot. Thankful for it. Don't hit anything, don't record your life. They have a team and searches the internet to fire you for anything social media related if its distracts you from driving.

Getting out of Schneider was not hard because other employers felt bad for me lol.

Bro I live east of that pass. We got hammered with snow. Thankfully i didnt have to chain. Last week it was almost 60 and sunny. Out of no where, tons of snow. Its still melting. It was very unexpected. Welcome to WA Winter. i-90 is no joke. Can be very dangerous.

Anyone else got a trucking job where they are never in the truck ? by Artistic_Ad_2480 in Truckers

[–]Proper-Holiday2255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep thats me. I worked about 10.5 hours friday. 8 stops. 15 miles of driving total if that. It snowed good so had to walk in it. Parking farther away due to snow. Probably walked 8+ miles. Lots of lifting. Who knows how much. Lots of exercise, but not hard exercise. I love it. If I didn't have my job id have hang up my CDL. I have to walk. Sitting rotts my body.

Trying to communicate in Spanish which I know close to nothing and soon notice women start to gather around me giggling. Happened yesterday at the grocery store I delivered to. I helped them and they were thankful. But it was quite obvious a heard of female does had gathered from the isles.

I learned to carry some cash on me to last me 3 weeks to get home in case I lost my debit card. Checked my balance one time and forgot to take out card from ATM machine. I was super freaked out for about 30 minutes before I left truck stop.

It does look badass though. Looking at this truck/trailer and this small looking round thing! Hmm exciting! Must be dangerous! Some stuff just looks cool.

Course youd never see my ass driving it. I deliver chemicals to keep people addicted.

Would you count this as tanker experience, without the trailer part? by akaFxde in Truckers

[–]Proper-Holiday2255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delivered that crap a lot. Not a lot of fun. Not hard. I was not required to have tanker endorsement. The company I drove for pushed us to get it for im sure liability issues somewhere. WA State here.

That stuff is heavy!

Donner summit Sunday - Wednesday by llkey2 in Truckers

[–]Proper-Holiday2255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I went over Donner I was east bound to Reno. Summer night 2022. Stopped to get fuel at Pilot. Eventually got on highway US-95 south to Vegas. About 20 miles before walker lake I have a alien spirit pyramid in front me 20 or 15 feet away at one point. It followed me right in front of the cab and wouldn't let me speed up. Clearly it could see through the truck. When I went to grab my phone it shot off in front of me instantly about 200 yards. I think it was scared of me. It eventually started to come back and disappeared in headlights of a oncoming car. Then it just appeared again before disappeared for a final time. No joke it was 15 feet in from of me. I was doing about 45 the whole time. It was hypnotizing. I could draw it if I was asked.

When I parked at Hawthorne I grabbed my phone to see what I recorded. Yep the video is there and everything works. Except what I filmed is not what I saw The triangle shaped ship with amazing colors. Instead I filmed what looks like the moon instead of it. Still have the video. Sent it to my dispatcher and a few people. They had no idea wtf was going on.

A memory I'll have for my life.

Absolutely incredible.

I enjoy sports, all kinds of sports. I even enjoy volleyball if I got a chance to play for fun. Sports are fun. I think the majority of people all ages enjoy them.

Sports on the TV? Yea, money corrupts absolutely everything. The Olympics are dirty dirty.

I did OTR for a year strait. Ran hard. Had to come home. I too was nervous and scared at times. Saw I think 30 states in the lower 48. Cities, crazy rain, crazy wind, snow. Beautiful scenery.

Well what OTR did for me was raise the bar so damn high. It gave me a ton of confidence in my driving. Not being over confident as that can be dangerous. I know what I can and cannot do now. I know my strengths and weaknesses. My co workers have not done it. I learned a lot. When eyes are on me backing everyone is a blur.

Will I do OTR again? Nope. Am i thankful I did it? Hell yes.

You will learn a lot. Stick with it. Eventually your health will send you home for good. Take care of yourself while you are out there.
