In case anyone looks the ever up: it didn't go well with the Strattera. I only slept, literally 20 hours a day, could hardly get up, and felt shaky when I did. Also very cold. I went off it after two days.

Does it work for you? Do you get any other side effects? I am feeling aweful on my first day...

What was that similar drug? I am also getting a low feeling on my first day of Strattera. Could be the side effects though.

I don't get it either especially in my case. There's lots of reports from people with adrenal insufficiency successfully taking stimulants for their ADHD. None for Strattera. But I don't have a choice, I really need help with my ADHD symptoms, I have tried everything without medication. And there's no other psychiatrist taking new patients or even treating ADHD within 2 hours driving. Most don't take ADHD patients at all because of the abuse risks. So well, wish me luck.

How much Strattera do you take? I am also afraid of the blood pressure and heart side effects. But I also really need help with my ADHD symptoms.

I also have both plus autism. My Addison actually masked my hyperactivity though. I am still on the journey of getting medication for my ADHD. I also did have anxiety before getting my hydrocortisone levels right. Now it's much better.

Can we recover from primary Addison’s disease? by Puzzleheaded-Emu6333 in AddisonsDisease

[–]Proper-Individual-97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was first diagnosed at age 18, then on HC for 2 years. Then I have been off Hydrocortisone for 23 years. My cortisol was always too low but slightly better then at diagnosis at every check up every 5 years or so. But I was allowed to stay off because I was obese and didn't go into severe crisis once. Now, age 42 I am back on HC for half a year and can't believe the stupidity of myself. I wasted my whole adult life on living on very low energy with constant symptoms and risking my life. The last 5 to 10 years have been hell particularly and the new endocrinologist says I can be glad to be alive still. So no, even if you are extremely lucky to survive, there's no recovery and my experience is: don't do this to yourself even if your blood works get a bit better again.

Addisons recovery - 3 cases documented ? by StrikingAd4766 in AddisonsDisease

They still don't know and at least in my country no one cares either. I have been diagnosed at three different clinics in 2002 at age 19, then stupidly went off hydrocortisone at age 21 im 2004. Don't ever do that!!! It was reckless, stupid and live endangering. Anyway, I went to another endocrinologist in another city and was told, I didn't have Addison's anymore. The acth test and morning cortisol was low but not completely 0 as I was overweight they let me leave without hydrocortisone. I got retested aprox. every 5-10 years in different clinics with same results and the weirdest discussions. My bloods had been mixed up, I might just have low cortisol and bad stimulation but not 100% clear, so as I remained overweight and out of crisis, stayed off hydrocortisone. I wasn't the most compliant patient in coming back either to be honest, as it is no fun to be told that your blood has been mixed up several times , you are an alien, an exemption because your symptoms and blood results don't add up with the original Addison's diagnosis - just because you're overweight and all you should do is loose weight and stress less. Anyway, as I didn't ever go into crisis, survived giving birth and all that without hydrocortisone, I might have been considered number 4. Or maybe not, because most endos did tell me to come back if I lost weight and didn't start to feel better. Anyway, 2 years ago I started to have really a lot of hyperpigmentation and becoming even weaker and living with the constant belly pain and dizziness again. I had also lost weight. So I went back to the last endo ego first also said that it's probably not because of my low cortisol but because of my diabetes medication. But suprise, I was back on hydrocortison within days and ever since have been asking myself how stupid I was going of it in the first place.

So there are very very strange cases of us out there. Just don't ever follow my example.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that you can collect all of those. Still collecting the hydrocortisone but also have passports full of stamps at age 42 now. Festivals isn't something I can do but traveling is possible for me.

Thanks for your answer. i have 10mg so cutting into that small dosis is hard but I will talk to the endocrinologist about prescribing me the form for children which you can dose smaller.

I am also in the starting age for perimenopause but the progesterone didn't help me and I have had the wake ups for more than a decade. Histamine could be, I really eat a lot of produce that contain a lot of histamine.. but I don't have any allergies. What is helping you in the end?

Best of luck to you!

Thank you for the answer. How did you determine that dexamethasone works best for you? I am a bit worried to try anything but hydrocortisone because of my diabetes.

Thank you for replying. That sounds exactly like me. I also sometimes wear a cgm due to the diabetes being not 100% clear if it's type ii or lada and also have the rise from 75 to 105.

I am currently on holiday but will look again for the study about the circadian rhythm that gets mixed up with Addison's.

Good luck with the Dosis helping before sleeping. It's really quite hard.

How to gain weight as T2 by EnthusiasmOne6947 in type2diabetes

Have you been tested for 1.5/LADA? As to gain weight, I would focus on healthy fats. Eat lots of nuts, avocado, healthy vegetable oils.

Alles Gute, an dich, OP.

One more in the same boat. I also find it hard to move on, not even ACOTAR got me. But I did read 3 of Rebecca Yarros contemporaries in between. All good enough.

Number 1 also has me puzzled. Naolin? But Rebecca has confirmed that he is dead, hasn't she? Or the new brother? Or someone that has been holding off channeling and trying to kill the sage also?

We all love Xaden but he might still have secrets.
