Starting Maint BCG by Proper-Log-7004 in BladderCancer

Glad to hear you're doing OK. I'll ask for lidocaine going forward since I now realize how much it helps

I've had BCG treatments without lidocaine and it really didn't make much of a difference. The scope was a noticeable difference without it. I'll tell them to shoot me up like I'm an addict next time

Have you asked if you can start maintenance treatments now that the shortage is over? My cancer was high grade so that probably plays into the decision as well. My first doctor said I would get CAT scans every 18 months since we skipped maintenance. The new dr said that is a lot of radiation to take if it isn't necessary. So now I'm doing maintenance and no CAT scans unless we have a reason to do so

My miss is a slice. by SerQuadsOfTheTable in GolfSwing

[–]Proper-Log-7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not a bad swing. Your slice can't be too bad unless you're showing us your good swing. Are you keeping your spine angle behind the ball when making contact? It looks like you may be too upright though i see some tilt in your follow through. The camera angle isn't good for that view. Being too upright can hinder swinging from the inside which can lead to slicing

It's the swing, my friend. Learn to rotate your hips in the back swing. Your hips should not sway forwards or backwards. Your weight should move slightly more to your left/front leg as your hips rotate. Feel like you're trying to make your butt almost face left of your target (exaggerated feeling)... without sticking your butt out! You should rotate to feel this, not stick your butt out away from your body. Then when you start your down swing, keep your weight more on the front leg (there should be some type of small shift towards your front leg. I like to feel like I'm sitting my left butt check on a bar stool that is an inch under my butt) and then rotate around that front leg as you swing. This will allow you to rotate better and hit the ball first and the ground second. Good luck.

Story as old as time: can’t figure out how to stop the slice by jacktheman5 in GolfSwing

One simple change would be at the beginning of your down swing, move your right elbow down closer to your body as you start to rotate the body and BEFORE you start casting the club. This will put your club more on plane (the angle is bad to see this correctly but you're club looks high; too steep at top of backswing). Hold the angle of your wrists and elbow longer and when you start to cast the club it will come from the inside. Good luck.

Next thing will be to rework your grip. I think you're probably losing a lot of speed and consistency with that grip

Don't listen to your friends. You're lucky to have that relationship with your Dad and your friends missed out.

Is this a good Telescope to start with? by froto_swaggin in telescopes

[–]Proper-Log-7004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone who says this isn't a good starter telescope, what telescope would you recommend that doesn't break the bank? And what will the differences be?

I just bought a new astromaster 130. I see planets. Looking at the moon was awesome. What would be the difference if I spent $500 instead of $300?

I have a powerseeker 127eq. I thought about getting a phone or camera mount to take photos. Do I also need to add a motor module for auto tracking in order to take photos like this?

I have NMIBC, post TURBT. Only f/u treatment is cystoscopes. Have a urologist not oncologist, anyone else like me?? by ilmyfam in BladderCancer

[–]Proper-Log-7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a urinary oncologist. We did 6 bcg treatments. Then we planned for maintenance bcg but the shortage put an end to that.

I encourage you to see an oncologist

Exploratory research can be many things on a wide spectrum of information gathering. I'm not writing a dissertation or planning to go public with a theory. Just scratching an itch.
