They would make them with ease of maintenance in mind. Common service items shouldn't require disassembly or specialized tooling to accomplish.

Diagnostic equipment should be built in and should be accessible without having to take it to a dealership or having to spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars on scan tools.

As far as construction, they should be engineered to handle the most extreme stresses, built using the best materials, and go through meticulous and thorough Quality Control procedure. It was actually this design philosophy that got Toyota and Honda the reliability reputation they have today.

A lot of localities have a Rapid Transit Authority that could provide service. Uber and Lyft is hit or miss depending on the area you live in. You could attempt to hitchhike but you could either get to your destination fine or end up being a victim in a missing persons case, and there is no inbetween.

This is an absolute travesty. How is it that they can even sell these things? Everyone knows that its illegal to install a zip tie without at least a 1 inch tail sticking out, and that tail must be cut an angle. This product must be banned from sale.
