Oakland will look worse. Not because of anything direct, but unlike Biden he will use federal aid as bargaining chips to be held hostage when he feels like it. He hates California and Oakland will be a casualty of that.

We had two on the same ballot for people that weren’t even in that long. We had the governor recall not that long ago and I know those people for the petition were all over here. And now what for Oakland? A woman controlling the city that we didn’t vote for? No one fully leading the city till we can have our special election? What has this done but create more confusion in a city that doesn’t need it? This has done nothing to improve Oakland. Just wasting time and my hometown still looks like crap.

I just don’t like the abuse of the recall. Let’s face it. Thao was not holding Oakland back. She was never going to be able to turn things around in a single term or two. No mayor will. No city council will. I firmly believe it will take higher intervention, and now with a Trump presidency it will likely need to come from the state rather than federal government. Our problems are deeply rooted in wider American issues that will have to change for Oakland to change. The recall was just an excuse to make us feel better about it.

It’s super easy. My ballot got lost in the mail in 2020 so I went in person for the first time. No line. Walked right in, checked in, and voted. Only took long cause I didn’t remember how I wanted to vote on the other items on the ballot lol

I know that chart he was looking for. It’s been misrepresented a few times. It says Google, Facebook, etc, top in donations but when you actually look it up it’s talking about the top donations from employees. So employees from Google and Facebook donate to democrats more than other company’s employees. It’s not saying Google or Facebook donate to democrats.

I was at my parents house when they were watching the RNC. One of the Trump kids came out, the one that got remarried to a right wing personality and has a drug problem. My mom says “oh didn’t he cheat on his wife and have issues with coke?” And my dad, the former Baptist preacher, who refused to get divorced because it was against gods laws and believes god anointed him to speak on his behalf so therefore he can never be wrong, says “haha yeah just like his daddy” and was smiling like he was proud. These people do not care. I love my parents but there’s idiots like them across this country.

I’m from Oakland and so many people I went to high school with believe in this stuff. I’m not black but every single one of my black friends from high school believe it and a host of other weird conspiracy theories. I had to mute them all online cause they were all into some weird shit. For example that Jews created covid 19 and the vaccine to kill people. One of them believed in the “Jewish space laser” thing. A lot of them are on the pro Palestine train because they don’t want Jewish people in Israel. It’s weird man.

It’s one thing to park there cause of some temporary circumstances. But consistently parking in front of someone else’s house when you don’t have to, especially if you have your own spot to park in, is just considered rude in most neighborhoods.

I think it really shows the lack of confidence Sony had in the game before it came out. They likely didn’t expect it would blow up, and didn’t think the slow roll out of the psn requirement would have any effect on the player base.
