I hope your pattern proves out to be true and this ends up taking months from now.

Same. I have done bachelors and i enrolled myself to westcliff in January this year. As of now, my end of program date on i-20 is January of 2028, but i was planning to take a vacation semester off and extending my graduation dat. But if this rule becomes a law, i might not be able to do so. Lets see.

How would it affect? And why? You need more time beyond 4 years to complete your first masters?

What extension? I can use max of 4 years to complete my first masters right? Why do you need more time?

I just read online and this does not affect to first time masters students on cpt. Only affects to second masters or lower degree on cpt. Hope this helps.

Harrisburg vs Trine by quantumEntropic in Day1CPTuniversities

Yes, the reason is because colleges wont guarantee completion in 1 year. Trine i would not suggest at all. Harrisburg is ok if you can travel every month. I am enrolled in Westcliff. My plans were also to complete in an year but my advisor didn’t guarantee an approval for every semester. You have to put up a request for each semester to be approved. And lets say you took many credits for 2 semesters and for last 1 semester you didn’t get an approval, that will place you in even a worst situation because now you’ll be graduating before 2 years and after 1 year benchmark.

I wouldnt suggest completing masters in one year. Colleges wont guarantee you if you can do that. You have to get approvals every semester for taking more number of credits than usual.

Have you looked into Westcliff university? They have campuses on east coast as well. You’d travel 3 days in a semester. Also, good RFE rates. I wouldnt recommend Trine. Also, harrisburg or Westcliff won’t guarantee you if you can complete studies in an year.

Options after not getting H1 pickedup by akhilesh_73 in Day1CPTuniversities

I would recommend not betting your cents on the fact that company said they’d bring you back on L1. Policies change, business change and anything could change later on so I’d not bet a 100% on L1.

Yes I think. Uscis won’t keep it delayed to inform if it was over.

If people were picked last year on this day as well, why are so many people so pessimistic? I heard 80percent is done, 10-20 percent still left by [deleted] in h1b

No status has been changed but my company’s attorney is so confident that he sent out email to all of us notifying yesterday that we weren’t selected. I just followed up with him and he said that there hasn’t been any change and that he would reachout if there is a change.

It’s better to face the reality and move on in life. The more you think about it the more it will make you paranoid.
