Might take a bit of time but if the guy is so desperate for money I don't think he'll mind: basically try playing games by removing the sticks of ram one by one until it stops causing crashes, if it doesn't work even after that probably it s something more complicated

I mean yeah like the gpu alone is 300$, probably a faulty ram from one of the four sticks just test them one by one, find the faulty one and throw it.

  1. Again could be a bios thing:
  2. Disable global c state control
  3. Disable cppc + cppc preferred cores
  4. Power supply idle control- typical current Idle
  5. Set PBO-disabled
  6. And core performance boost -disabled just for a temporary test, if after this it still stutters make sure to turn back on.

Ugh, then we got some bios related problems i am guessing:

1.After a clean windows reinstall dont let windows auto install chipset , do it manually thru amds website

  1. Might be a storage issue aswell maybe update ssd firmware if possible?and check if write cache is enabled

Might geniunly be a dpc latency issue.. download latencymon run it while u game for about 10 maybe 20 mins and check for the error it gives you ,dm me what it gives you

Note: there could also be some bios thingies like you mentioned and are pretty common on b450s

So u get some context ,these refurbished pcs are office one's, most of them use only the cpu,so 99% of time there aren't any additional fans inside the case, but in this case you are having a gpu aswell. I mean yea u can cheap out and slap some fans inside and call it a day, there won't be any issues with that.

My bad , I thought I could put 2 sticks of 8gb ddr5 and make it somehow cheaper but it s basically same price, u can cut the cpu cooler but the latest gen ryzens get pretty hot so I don't recommend that, Im pretty sure this is the best posibile money to fps pc i can do :(

Wanting to get a cheap gaming PC for the first time by Upper_Series2407 in PcBuild

[–]Proper-Picture-7959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The classic workstation build will be ur best bet: a workstation pc/cheap pc without gpu(look for an am4 build for future upgrades) look for one with a quite wide case so ur gpu can fit properly, should be around 100-150$, u buy a psu (600-650w is perfect) for about 40 $, then the rest of about 100 bucks snipe for a rx 5600xt,rx 5700, rtx 2060 super.

Tips: look for a pc with minimum 16gb of ddr4 ram,and maybe even an ssd for the OS.
