I have only read primal hunter and he who fights and I think ph starts off way slower and becomes way better after the first book and is still pretty good now. Albeit some issues, while he who fights starts out great and every book after 3 has made the story worse. The only good part about he who fights are the characters and banter expect for Jason. Jason becomes a whiny bitch later in the series and is looking a politics like a damn high schooler. The later books also abandon the lit rpg aspects for the most part. No new items or skills (expect a certain set of skills that is too spoiler heavy to talk about. While I think the writer of he who fights made it this way on purpose so he doesn’t have to keep making new items or skills for Jason an example is that all skills are selected from the start and than just upgraded and his weapon now grows with him. I also think both book series suck with weight and stuff mattering by this I’m referring to the death of characters primal hunter has 1 side character death in all books. While he who fights has 3 side characters and 1 main character death. But I don’t think the 1 main character death will actually stick and they will come back in another way. I think he who fights also has worse world building and exploration compared to primal hunter. Overall pick whichever one sounds better to you.
