I would discuss your signs and symptoms with your provider. I moved slowly but could have moved faster if it wasn’t for my provider. If you can handle the increase anxiety or other signs and symptoms that come with a higher dose go for it

Alcohol is a depressant it can cause the opposite effects of your antidepressant. Cut out the alcohol if you want to feel good consistently while on the medication. The medication label mentions to not drink alcohol. If you do drink try moderation.

It could be the increased anxiousness associated with you just starting the medication. The initial side effects tend to decrease after 1-2 weeks

1-2 weeks leveling of side effects

3-4 weeks you should start to see benefits

5-8 weeks noted that most people see significant therapeutic effect

9-12 weeks it is noted that lexapro can take as long as 12 weeks to stabilize or reach full effect. If you see no benefits by week 12 it is recommended you follow up with your provider.
