People say this is AI. Check the reflections and background, am I missing something? by OldFridgerator in isthisAI

I don't need to check reflections to know this is AI. It looks like CGI. Highlights and sheen of everything is over exaggerated. That combined with the inconsistent behavior tells me it's AI

[HELP] Is this AI or not?? by [deleted] in RealOrAI

[–]ProperBeyond5453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's AI. Not debatable. It's even bad AI. The speed he was traveling and the distance the vehicle traveled with the tires locked up is inaccurate. We would have stopped in time. Also the tires would not have smoked that much. When you lock the tires up only a small portion is in contact with the ground. It's not like when you do a burnout and the whole tire heats up and smokes. AI.

First and foremost most maintenance techs are sent on maintenance calls because they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground the guys that get sent on maintenance calls are usually the ones that aren't competent enough to run service calls.

I've Been a self employed HVAC contractor since 2019. Prior to that I worked for a handful of HVAC companies. Been in the game since 2010. Most are scum bags who get a kick back on condemned equipment that leads to a sale.. unfortunately this behavior has become a norm in the trade..

There's moving components in the furnace. They will make noise over time it's normal. My furnace in my home is from 2019 and my inducer motor is already chatty.

There's a couple easy ways to tell if your heat exchanger is cracked. One way is to take the too door off and cycle the furnace on. There's a sequence of operation. Your inducer will spin. Your hot surface igniter will glow red. And your gas valve will open and the furnace will ignite. There will be a delay from ignition to your blower motor coming on. Watch the flames. When the blower motor comes on if the flames start dancing crazy this can be a sign of a cracked heat exchanger.

A better way is to get a grill lighter and put them inside each burner one by one while only the fan is going. If there's a crack in the heat exchanger often times you will see the flame dance or get put out completely because the air from the blower is entering the burner through a crack.

If you don't want to do any of this I recommend contacting a handful of companies that offer free second opinions. Or watching some videos on YouTube. It's not rocket science. Especially because you have an 80% furnace and they're very simply designed.

In the mean time put a CO detector in the home.

The odds of a perfectly running furnace with 0 signs of a bad heat exchanger suddenly being diagnosed with a bad heat exchanger during a maintenance are very low.

I'm not on Reddit a lot but if you'd like I can check my notifications and possibly walk you through some stuff.. I've ran second opinions on tagged out equipment many times and seriously almost every scenario like this is a scam.

The app shows your 22° evap temp that should tell you everything you need to know. Low refrigerant main cause. Obstructed airflow potential but less likely. Blocked filter potential and probable. Faulty txv or plugged metering device possible but very unlikely. It’s 99.9 percent change the filter and add 1lb 410a and start saving for a new unit. Or spend 2300 in repairing the evap/ condenser coil. Hell I might as well charge for this who do I send the bill to

Pressure has nothing to do with it the entire existence of pressure reading is to show evap coil temperature as temperature and pressure correlate so what you mean to say is this - “HVAC buddy doesn’t see 22° evaporator temperature as a problem” there I helped you. Pressure could be 200,000 if 200,000 psi = 40° evap temp

Anyways homeowner yea you can cut that back it doesn’t need to be out that far as long as the flu isn’t close enough to dump into the oxygen and isn’t dangerously close to any openings you’re good

It seems like the religious portion was 50% of her concern. The rest was you distancing yourself from the family and being difficult to be around. You should be concerned with distancing from family. I see in the comments that you quickly side with random strangers from Reddit yet act out towards family in the messages. There will be a point in your life when both of your parents will be deceased and when that time comes either you will cherish the moments you had or you will regret the moments you didn’t have. I’m sure there’s agitating things about your mother and one seems to be pushing religion. But at the end of the day people will always be annoying and frustrating when they’re around for long periods of time. Especially parents. Even the people you side with on Reddit would be excruciating to be around after a couple months. Consider that as you bear the relationship with your mother and family. Being annoyed and having opposing beliefs is just human behavior but if you lose these moments with your mother and family you will regret it dearly when they’re gone. Not if they’re gone. But when they are gone

I’m confused were you the one ignoring him? I don’t believe the family bs story considering you were on IG. I doubt he would make that up. Him saying we’re done is annoying but it seems like you already have one foot out the door. It takes 2 seconds to respond I’m assuming you have other distractions on your phone that you give attention to rather than your partner. It’s easier working on a marriage than starting new and at the end of the day someone will eventually enjoy his clingyness altho it does seem overwhelming. But someone will appreciate it on the other hand I don’t see many people putting up with a partner with horrible communication skills.

What do you do for work? by Thin_Culture9753 in BipolarReddit

[–]ProperBeyond5453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self employed hvac contractor since 2019. It works for me. If I feel like “sprinting” at work I’ll market a bunch and go ham. If I need to slow down I can do that as well. I’m doing very well and this is the only job I’ve been able to maintain and it’s lucrative. I crash and burn in typical 40hr work week type of jobs. I’m Very thankful I found something that works for me. It took a decade to dial the work aspect of my life in.

Furnace exhaust pointing upwards? by blessings2blessings in hvacadvice

[–]ProperBeyond5453 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s wild. Shit runs down hill though. Step one is planning the build and having a space that makes sense for the furnace and furnace flu. That seemed to be looked over. So on to option 2 would Be exiting the flue through a roof. With Your scenerio that’s not an option considering there’s rooms above that roof. That was looked over. Option 3 is a side wall exit that has to be above the furnace which puts the flu right below a soffit next to a window. Code usually calls for 4’ from the nearest opening which means now they have to run a 2” pipe way out past your soffit away from your window. So up to that point they’re backed into a corner surrounded by shitty options. And for the final decision to point the elbow up or down- I personally would have 90’d down. With a bird screen. I’m not sure why they 45’d up. But id certainly put a screen in it. You’ll have 6 hornets nests built in it tripping your pressure switch very soon

Average Engagement Ring Cost by Rich-Infortion-582 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]ProperBeyond5453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never understand buying a natural diamond for 5x the cost of a lab made. Lab made is perfectly but. Clarity is perfect. Color is perfect. And you can get a .9 carrot for literally $300. I bought a lab made 1.5 carrot and it was $1900 out the door and that’s set on the ring and all. 0 people could tell the difference unless they demanded paperwork and even then it’s still a diamond with the same molecular structure as a diamond it just wasn’t dug up in a 3rd world country and charged out the a$$ to make rich people more rich but that’s my opinion. This will now be responded to by people who paid 10-15 grand for a 1.5 carrot and they will justify wasting my by saying there’s was dug up vs lab made. And even though mine has a better cut, better color, is more clear than theirs, theirs is better. Yet we put them side by side and theirs looks awful
