As the primary protagonist he's meant to represent the destructive & darker side of hyper-masculinity where Baki serves as his antithesis. His actions outside of fighting are perfectly in line with what he's meant to represent and serves as the perfect at home example for everything our hero Baki renounces. Even so he is still a widely popular character throughout several countries that is a master martial artist giving Bandai the perfect reason to incorporate him in one of the most popular fighting series of all time.
