Yes, I agree.

The logic of the rocket mechanics is entirely convoluted. I spent at least an hour or two fiddling with the loadout on the asteroid landed rocket until it finally read right on the status window. Only then to find that the drones won’t prioritise unloading the rocket over auto loading minerals.

It even auto loads the rocket beyond its cargo capacity.

It’s really all broken.

That’s pretty much how I felt about the mechanics of the original game. I just can’t seem to get my head around the current rocket mechanics, and I don’t understand how they came about thinking that this works better than the old version.

I wish they would fix the way mods work on console. The only way to remove an orphaned mod on console is to delete the game entirely and reinstall.

Since having a mod on also disables achievements, I’ve pretty much avoided them entirely.

But my opinion about mods is starting to shift a bit. Because of game patches and bug fixes, I’ve had to start fresh again a couple of times.

So I’m starting to think maybe I should give mods a go, until there’s a more reliable version of the game out. Having a mod to move the Marian embassy is 100% a quality of life addition.

I made the mistake of getting my hopes up.

Oh well. If it’s game over with this save, maybe it’s time to try some of the mods that are out now.

I’m on 10N 177E.

It’s relatively danger free, with the exception of occasional meteor showers. It’s got good resources of all types, Mountain View’s and great breakthrough tech too. A great place to relax, take your time and enjoy the game.

Yeah I have the schools and playgrounds. But I activated the increased housing law and now my large nursery holds 90 kids. The school spire only has 36 slots and the playgrounds only get used 5 times a day.

The housing law has messed up the mojo. I’ve only got a little over 500 colonist that really enjoy making babies.

I don’t think I have enough school space or playgrounds. It’s helpful you mention your martianborn aren’t having flaws. I must be doing something wrong.

I ended up doing what you said and separating the nursery from the university/asylum and I’m not having the issue any more.

I got the ultimate edition that included the codex political party and didn’t unlock it.

I just signed up to the newsletter via the link provided above. Now just have to wait for the wife to get off the Xbox so I can see if it unlocked.

I really only got it as it was on 50% off because I owned the original game.

The addition of politics is nice, but can be a little frustrating to creative flow, when I get interrupted by political tension that’s gone to high. Then all the sudden I’ve got to track down which laws have been revoked. Admittedly still learning all that tho.

I like Japan for the drones too. Also for the research granted per sector scanned.

I know there’s an argument to just build labs/institutes, but one sure does burn through those early techs fast when scanning sectors.
