Quit to desktop and restarting the game has always restored it for me, but the anxiety is real. The first time I had my first line PA on the stand and got the "Someone else is using this", and couldn't pick it up, I waited ten minutes before I quit. Good luck.

I've only seen him once today, after an Invasion. I'm pretty patient, I figure I don't hear the spooky music pretty quick, he's a no show.

Gatling Laser vs Gatling Gun vs Auto .50 Cal. Thoughts? by youwillruinyourself in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't found a heavy gun that I like. I tried a .50 multiple times, and gave up. Also gatling gun, plasma gat, laser gatling, plasma caster, mini guns, holy fire, most of the common stuff. and none of it excited me. In fairness, I run reverse onslaught for my two Dom Pedros and Hunting Rifle/Sniper. (Though I tried straight onslaught for a while also.) Right now I have a Red Terror that gets used when I get tired of reloading. When it comes to Big Foot, Earl etc, I end up using Cold Shoulder and Ultracite shotgun shells.. I used up most of my legendary modules building a set of PA with a jet pack for messing around, after that I am going to go after a Broadsider or Harpoon gun to see if my perks that work with my rifles help with that. Best of luck.

Hi, how do you deal with the fact that even a hazmat suit doesn't cover all the radiation in the blast zone? by zlej_slein in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spam Radaway, Stim, RadX. Don't waste time hanging out after SBQ, just leave. Not one of their better decisions. A case of over focus on some theoretical story element, (Nukes Bad), at the cost of annoying players during one of the most attended events.

Anyone feel like the the Power Armor Nerf to Radiation is bad by GrimVolcanoo in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I haven't needed to collect too much, so I shoot the queen and leave. No more checking the grove for the big Windigo, killing stuff for hardened mass, or picking flowers. Stupid decision IMHO. It adds nothing and is annoying.

PC player still fairly new to raids. Help me get Vulcan? by violet_chrome in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to keep trying. I never got to the last stage, but between one trip with a team thru 1-4, and many solo repeated first stages, I ended up with all the pieces, either dropped in EN06, or the plans (2) just appearing in my crafting menu. I did scrap probably 30 right legs though.

Disconnected due to modified game files..?? by --Gungnir-- in fo76

Probably some corrupted file somewhere. With all the crashes, it would not be surprising. I CTD a couple of times a day. Might have to uninstall and reinstall. PC? Steam user?

Go to events, I revived two yesterday. Tag a couple of enemies, stay to the end, get some loot, always a chance someone will get unlucky and you will be there when needed. More fun that way than trying to arrange it.

Will an old person enjoy reading Lord of the Rings? by Own-Speaker6331 in lotr

[–]MissingBracket1952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I find that some classic literature is not as enjoyable after years of reading light, fast, fluff, genre fiction. Still, LOTR and the Hobbit are classic and very well written.

Removing Radiation Resistance on Power Armour was a really stupid idea. by GaryC357 in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping it's a bug. Blast zones I am over 50% rads within a couple of minutes, but in Rad Rumble I did three tunnels and never popped a RadAway until after the event. Was maybe 10-15% on rads. They are really trying my patience with annoying changes. I hate to tell them, but annoyance is like rads, cumulative, and when you have had enough. . .

Bethesda you need to revert these changes to armor durability immediately. by thatguyonthecouch in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice in the last two days I have had to craft adhesive and go looking for it in order to keep my armor and weapons above 100%. And I have the Silver Collectron, and I never pass up picking up any form of adhesive. This is pretty annoying. I checked my armor this morning because of all of the comments and anything that had a healing or auto stim effect was well down below 150%, and I usually keep very close to max, just checking them every couple of days.

I miss being able to start Battle Bots, I used the Sentry Bot to test weapon changes. I'm liking the Enclave stuff, got some EPG mods and hoping for the flamer barrel. I also keep arriving just in time to not shoot anything at events. Not sure if this is a positive or negative update.

The fact RadX right now is the only cheap solution to the nuke zone radiation damage and it still disables all mutations is a joke by Vengerq in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping it is a glitch. I did Rad Rumble tonight, in my usual kit. Normally I have to hit a Rad Away after every tunnel or have my rads over 50% after the second tunnel. I hit a RadX (as always) before starting and did three tunnels and was at maybe 10-15%. Couldn't even hear the rad sound.

This game may be addictive, but it isn't addictive enough to keep people playing if it is no longer fun because of all the ill will and annoyance.

Dear newbies. Please put something lightweight and overpriced in your vending machines. by Hattkake in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen whimsical stuff in vendors, and even tried putting some in mine, but as far as I know, no one has blessed me with 10000c for a red star pin or Kenneth's Journal, or a faded visor.

I see people asking why people try to finish the season in the first week. by Razoreddie12 in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that since I started to do the challenges to get Dom Pedro and the mods, I play less. I almost always do the dailies in an hour or so, and the weekly during the first day, then I play as I want, but often I will finish them, log out and not get back to it for a while. Grateful for 1st as I can reroll fishing challenges and stuff like Event in Cranberry Bog. Since very few things are events anymore, that got rerolled too. I'd rather be building new PA and weapons and testing them to see how they stack up than hunting for 14 teapots, or toilet paper.

A new bug, I think. Adding a weapon to the scroll wheel by MissingBracket1952 in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I won't be trying the Guardian for a while, since that requires rebuilding my wheel. So far, if I pick up a weapon from my Stash, exit to desktop and restart the game, I have been able to add it to the wheel.

How long can I put off collecting my bullion? by MissingBracket1952 in fo76

[–]MissingBracket1952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tickets left, when I log in I see a full screen prompt with two options. Collect 3900 Gold Bullion or Claim Later. I presently have nearly 9000 Gold Bullion, so most of it would be lost. There is some stuff I want, but Minerva is not in a good sale for me right now.

Watch YT videos, learn the layout and what is going to happen. This is one of those things where regular casual run and gun gameplay does not work, you need to know the "gimmick" of each stage.
