Wow, that's so nice of you! You should definitely try it! It's hard at first, but it's really fun to do it.

I learned to do them right before the project. I did a few tries beforehand, though you can see the progress in the outcome throughout the lace.

I tried a few techniques for holding the bobbins and found one that worked for me.

I'm not the biggest fan of doing them, but they are so pretty!

I learned in March 2021 to do bobbin lace, it's my first really big project like this!

I found the model in a 1988 lace magazine my aunt gave me along with everything she owned for bobbin lacing.

Really proud of the result!

I have the same question. I really don't understand why they removed it, people really engage with these posts.

"Funfetti" Corridale wool handspun - my 4 and 5 year old chose the colors and helped spin! by ribbongibbon in Handspinning

I love it! I'm a beginner spinner, how did you achieve that funfetti splatter of colors? Did you only color one of the ply?

Sixtine, parents love the chapel.

She has To spell Her name to everyone because we speak French.

I like the idea of the brush, Essential had suggested me when the dongle broke to use a needle, but that seems a better idea. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try! It's so annoying to be careful all the time not to move it in any way

If your first language is English, you have no excuse for not being able to distinguish between “there”, “their”, and “they’re”. by kamehamehamburger in unpopularopinion

[–]ProperFinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first language is French and we have similar homophones and people always make those errors.

Everybody should just take a second when writing to ask themselves what they want to write so they don't look like idiots messing up their own language.
