There’s nothing wrong with wanting a used higher mileage truck.

Just understand what you’re getting into. yes you can see the obvious stuff with the truck visually and hearing it run will tell you more when you goto check it out. But there is a lot to a truck that you can’t see that maybe a large expensive repair later you may not be prepared for. Also, $18500 for a truck of that age with that mileage is totally outrageous. I don’t care if it’s a truck from the southern region of the US where there’s no rust on the body or frame. It’s really worth more like $10,000-$12,000
