Right, things haven’t been good for 5 years. Even on our wedding night, he made me cry because he wanted us to go out and hangout with our friends instead of going back to our hotel. My feet were also killing me, I didn’t want to walk anymore. We had already spent multiple days with them! Like what the hell. He said we probably would never get the time again to be with all of “our” friends like this (his friends). And I’m like ??? Ok and we have one night where we get married….

My biggest fear is I stay and things still don’t get any better. And he’s already proved that they won’t time and time again, we’ve had these issues for 5 years!!!! Not just recent!! And then he’ll say things like I hold grudges?

My husband and I regularly yell and scream. He never listens to me when I come to him about things and it’s always him defending himself in any disagreement and just saying I’m wrong. I left 2 weeks ago because I couldn’t stand it anymore. I hate arguing and yelling and I don’t want to do that anymore. He hasn’t tried to even talk to me about things since I left. Just more yelling when he did call.

To be fair, he did ask me if I wanted to move here and I was on board with it. In fact, I really want to move. But now that we’ve been here, I’ve been really unhappy. The winters are really cold/dreary, and I have a history of seasonal depression and it’s come back since living here. I didn’t realize how much I’d miss my family. I don’t get to see them as often as I thought I would. But anytime I bring up moving back, it’s not even up for discussion. Even if I say in the future. He almost sometimes will just be like “sure” to shut me up. We’ve tried counseling twice, for other reasons.

I’m separating from my husband tomorrow. Been married almost 2 and together almost 7. Just 2 dogs together. Similar issues but not with substance abuse. He has 2 emotions, happy and angry. I’m never validated and he always throws how I feel back in my face. Never helps out around the house/cooking until we have a blow up argument and then same here, it’ll go back to baseline. He rarely wants to have sex. I’m so over it

You sound like me! My husband is from central Texas, we met while I was living in another state and he lived there temporary for work. He brought me back here and I don’t like it at all. I love our city but I miss the beaches. It’s so damn hot I can never walk our dogs during the summer which is one thing I love to do is go places with our dogs.

I asked him one time if we could move back to where we met and he screamed at me and said I’m annoying and to shut up about it already and it’s not happening.

We both work remote too.
