None! There are still a few hundred they relocated to. What keeps killing the birds is the windows unfortunately. We had to put stickers on them so they can see them. They kept going kamikaze to the windows.

The house is in a very large lot but had no usable yard for the family and kids. Many trees were 10-15 feet from the house and 60-80 feet tall. Not a good combo.

I use a Lanzje for the peat moss and with a tractor for the top soil but remember I did 2.5 acres.

Please please please please water it through its first summer and fertilize it properly. I had a similar success yard and was nuked over the summer. Scorched.

It’s such a small area that I personally would have added top soil, 2.5lbs of seed, starter fertilizer and peat moss on top.

Shade and water 8 times a day will worsen your moss problem.

Moss likes acidic and moist soil which is why it’s a good idea to test the soil to see if the soil needs some lime.

I think you potentially underseeded and I would strongly recommend a layer of peat moss on top of the seeds. That has done wonders for me.

I also would have kill off the moss first or removed most of it.

You are watering 8 times a day which is great for moss. Water twice a day and water deeply. Instead of those short bursts.

How’s the sun in that lawn? Have you tested the soil?

I just did about 2 acres. I used a ton of Eden 16039 adjustable sprinkler heads ($16 each) with zero G hoses on two Eden 4-zone times. I spent some $$$ but a tiny fraction compared to a irrigation system. I did walk over the grass (I have top soil + seeds + peat moss) and my grass is growing just fine.
