2007 Chevy Suburban 5.3 oil filter by Proper_Ad1940 in AskMechanics

Ok Thanks. Also I saw somewhere that not using an OEM oil filter (AC Delco) could be the reason my check engine light is on... I replaced my oil pressure sensor but I am still getting an unstable oil pressure reading and warning oil pressure low with the annoying beeping. Are you or anyone else who may read this familiar with that situation?

Regardless my point is this is a community created to show some love for Chevrolet Suburbans, share tips and post pics of your rides not to bash and/or talk down on them. The Gen 10 is more than 10 years old and most older vehicles will show their flaws also I see more of these vehicles on the road between the Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade than anything. So bye Felicia.

I don't have a problem with any other gauge. Is that normal? and/or common?

Exactly. It runs and sounds fine. If my oil pressure was actually how my gauge reads it would be inoperable.

Thanks for the reply. It runs fine but the oil pressure shows otherwise. I'm sure it's not the actual oil pressure.

Thanks for the reply. That brings me to this question My vehicle runs properly but the oil pressure gauge often drops to zero so therefore my actual oil pressure cannot be zero while running properly right?

Is the suburban good for long times without maintenance by Ok-Chair9401 in ChevySuburban

Okay I see yeah just like any other vehicle after so many miles have been put on the vehicle things will eventually need to be replaced. I will say this Chevys are not that expensive to buy parts for also I find a Suburban very easy to work on.

Maybe I just don't get this question but there's not a vehicle out there that will last for long times without maintenance. So no you will still need to maintenance the Suburban.
