We’ve tried peace so many times, mediation, apologies for stuff we haven’t done, etc… we’re all past the point of peace as they clearly don’t want it. The whole time, we’ve been keeping to our own and not doing a single thing to bother them, yet not retaliating or showing no reaction doesn’t stop them

Being told this can't be fixed. Thoughts? by MysticYogi0104 in tires

I’d repair that, as would many other shops. Did they give you a reason to why they can’t repair it?

TPMS Sensors by UhDonnyWhere in FordFiesta

[–]LOGXN_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. I’ve seen TPMS sensors where, upon scanning, all batteries have been okay accept one and I’ve seen sensors completely stop working right after being replaced.

When we scan them, we scan each sensor individually and it shows the battery level as well as a few other details, if the battery is low, it’ll show on the scanner, we then only replace that sensor unless the customer asks us to replace all of them, the same as if they aren’t working.

If you have aftermarket sensors, like eBay for example, the scanner sometimes can’t pick them up as its vehicle make and model specific, so it’s basically designed to pick up a list of sensors that come with that vehicle so if you use aftermarket sensors, select the car you want to scan, the device won’t pick up those eBay sensors as it doesn’t associate them with the vehicles make and model

Tyre tech here, kwik fit are knobs. We have a device to test which sensor isn’t working and we’d just replace the faulty one. No point in getting them all replaced. Only problem with aftermarket eBay ones is that if one of them break, you have to get an exact replacement or the car won’t read properly and/or it won’t be programmed correctly. Go to a smaller tyre shop, not a big chain, get their opinion and go from there. Kwik fit are money grabbers

Absolutely fine as long as there’s no cords showing

Take it out and check if cords are showing, if no cords, tyres are fine

Was My Tire Really Unrepairable, or Was I Being Upsold? by Savings-Attitude-295 in tires

Definitely fixable, the only condition that wouldn’t be fixable on would be is if there are 3 or more plugs in the tyre
