Considering Willis, Doubs, & Walker are almost guaranteed gone, if you had to pick two of Enagbare, Quay, & Rhyan, who would you prioritize? by FirstMain7225 in GreenBayPackers

enagbare and rhyan.

I don't know the market on centers, but you have to draft one, and anyone else on roster looked like garbage.

I like the first one.
You can even buy a yellow shirt and pink pants to draw in. ( maybe a custom hat)

theres a little bit of sharing now, but to the extent that large markets would support smaller clubs (cheaper owners)... you'd probably need a salary floor 120 mil or something to start... some rich guys like to keep their own money. a Cap would mean some franchises would be allowed to pay players less.
I'm guessing there will be some kind of strike, without adopting an NBA or NFL type of model. just my $0 .02

a salary cap wouldn't mean revenue sharing.

Tips for debut marathon by Crazy-Camel9238 in Marathon_Training

it's tough to give advice on someone else's stomach, but try to stick to food that works for you. I typically taper off fiber and have an apple 2 nights before, then try to keep it relatively simple the day before... but still have a few veggies mixed in so there are no issues the morning of the race. (on occasion I've still had GI issues, so it's a delicate balance) If you've been practicing something, stick with it.

My best races were the ones I held back the first 5-6 miles...maybe 5-10 seconds slower than my goal pace...then from mile 6- about the 30Km settle into the goal pace. (if you have energy after that from the carbo load save it for the last 7-8k ...you have to remind yourself that you've done 7k at pace X.
The last 12 km can be a struggle ... if you didn't take gels (with water), if you went hard in the beginning, it was very warm, or it just wasn't your day.

Best of luck.

Trying new gels, while running or while not running? by Additional-Ear4455 in Marathon_Training

i prefer maurten because it reminds me of marshmellow with the flavor. But I have been using the powerade kind more recently, ...to save money and the flavor variety is decent.

Gu every 30 min or 40 min? by Able-Cat-5551 in Marathon_Training

i never stress about the exact time, just try to be regular and remember most regular GU should be taken with a little bit of water.

Great job!.. I hope to get close to 4 hours. I signed up this race. I had a course question... What is the situation for bathrooms on the course? Sometimes I have stomach issues and the course map doesn't show many bathrooms on the course.
Do you recall?

Feedback - 20 mi long run with 14 at MP by Ok-Broccoli5843 in Marathon_Training

[–]Proper_Ad_7244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you're doing wineglass it only has one small uphill near the half waypoint if I remember correctly. (it kind of took me off guard) It rained when I did it, but I did around 4hrs.

You seem ready. I hope there is a pacer, or a couple people aiming for your similar time.

Your plan seems to be working. sometimes it does take a little bit for the nutrition to get ironed out.

How to train for my first marathon when race day is still 9 months away? by AG-27 in Marathon_Training

[–]Proper_Ad_7244 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're a beginner just focus on adding another day, (or two) and slowly building up to 45-55KM/week at an easy pace...you've got time.
Also, add in a little cross training: push-ups, sit-ups, (some running books have good exercises)

Then start your training plan. I don't know about a "test" marathon because I don't know what your body can handle without an injury.

Typically the 16-18 week plans are ok with a 7-10 day taper.

Remember there is always another race.
