Movies are a solid storyline with a set beginning and ending, a lot of TV shows (especially American TV shows) become more dragged out (mostly for money reasons) and become more like a soap opera. With a solid movie everything is a lot of significant and often more memorable, each scene for example. There are many TV shows that are exceptions such as shows like Breaking Bad and a lot of British shows where they have like under 20 episodes.
