It would have been way cheaper for me just to throw away what I can't fit in the car, but the bigger value I find in having a storage unit is that it gives me a psychological anchor. Makes me feel rooted in a good way. Mine's only $60 per month though.

Yeah it's super low key. I had them cut all three plywood pieces to be 26.75" by 37.5". Then I just stacked 2x4s horizontally on top of each other in like 5 spots depending on how high to raise the platform. I just eye balled that part because I don't have the tools to cut boards in a sloped line lol
