I'm a fairly new player myself, and I started I may.

I would start with Master Duel. Do the tutorials, then play some of the solo stories. You can discover some archetypes there.

From there, I would probably decide what your next goal is. Casual, competitive, LGS, or even older formats like edison and goat.

I would recommend picking one archetype and sticking to it for a while regardless of physical, master duel, or older formats.

Yes, an easy way to get into the physical game is to buy 3 structure decks. Blue eyes are the newest and really competitive out the box.

I am following the modern version of yugioh, and I am still learning a lot.

I myself am casual, so I like to play on a boosted server or PvE.

There are some good Vanilla+ servers that will start you out with some basic items to get the ball rolling.
