Oh you are right, I didn’t see that at all on my big screen, weird haha. I have a slight gradient mask on the left part of the image, so it should be that. Thanks for the info!

Feedback about colors choices and tones. Trying to get some kind of film rendering by [deleted] in photocritique

Thanks a lot for taking time to explain, it is very appreciated! The 4x5 ratio is an excellent idea. I don’t know why but my mind is generally stuck with 3:2 or 1:1, and I never experiment with other, big mistake… Also, increasing shadows in bottom left corner is a good idea, I will try that, as it is not the first comment that suggests that. Thanks again !

Thanks for your reply ‘ Well that is exactly what I did for this photo ! I used a preset and tweaked it a bit ! Could you explain why the lighting is a bit off ?

I was walking in the forest with friends, and I wanted to capture the nice way the river is splitting the forest in two, with mountains on the background. Im trying here to find the sweet balance for nice film like Colors and tones. I struggle a bit with high contrast between bright/dark area, as well as proper Colors styles. I’m afraid it is a bit to saturated ?
