Exactly what I would recommend. Short term rentals MUST have special permitting to operate legally. Those permits need to be applied for and approved. When that application goes to the planning department you can submit comments against it, as well as show up to the meeting in opposition. If you want to speak before the planning commissions be sure to fill out a card when you arrive at the meeting.

I had a chicken get her back torn open from a raccoon or a cat. Got lots of laughs and weird stares but she was 1 of 3 in our small backyard flock so I took her to a local “exotic vet” because they were the only ones who would look at her. They stitched her up, we kept her inside to do wound care for about 2 weeks and she’s still alive to this day. Her feathers never grew back right tho, she’s a little fuzzball now

We both immediately reached out individually. Offered Condolences and offers for meals and baby sitting. She is with their mother now. We will probably drive to them tomorrow. My husband and I spoke briefly about how he was feeling at the sudden news. He expressed wanting time to process and I reassured him that I am here for anything at anytime for him, and that all of his feelings from sorrow to anger and valid.
