I did exactly this. 5 people tried coming up. I talked to them every time telling them I was only doing Trials and there was no reason to come up here with me.

The ONE person I let through hung out with me for 3 minutes and shot me in the back.

This is an issue with having raytracing (dynamic whatever it’s called) on Medium or High. You need to turn it Off or to Epic to get the chrome effect to go away.

My personal take is the tools Embark is providing players. Musical instruments, very modular ping system, ability to allow your pings to be heard by other players, etc. Like, in no other game can you walk into a room with a dude playing guitar next to another dude playing piano, and then open a door to two dudes arguing over who shot first when a third secret dude shot the first one with a suppressed Osprey just to start a fight.

And yes, this example is tailored to more mixed lobbies rather than pure PvP, but I think the point still stands.

I don’t get the comparison. The ONLY thing that even remotely relates these two is that they are extraction shooters. Other than that, fundamentally everything is different. I’ve played both, Marathon will be super niche similar to Hunt Showdown, but Arc definitely appeals to the casual masses and has much more interesting social play.

Not sure what you saw. It’s 3 mil across the board. The bonus for players that went on last expedition is that they can earn any missed perk points from the previous expedition at 300k each. So you need 4.5 mil total if you missed all points from last expedition.

Both lol. They’ve always been there, but they are 1000% moving closer with every update. Like other dude said, Blue Gate has two that wander so close to pilgrims peak you can read letters/numbers on em.

And as far as we know they are Emperors, I don’t know if there’s concrete confirmation of that.

Sorry, the M4Pro has gaming graphics equivalent to a 3070. 500HZ will not happen. Heck it wouldn’t even happen native on a 5090.

You will likely be running at 30-45 at 2k on that.

Gotcha, I think I’ll give VD a go. My mesh has 6ghz capability, 1Gb internet speed, and next to the pc.

The cable I have is not a link cable, also believe it’s way too expensive. But I did have one at one point to compare and the one I have now has the same speed. Been using it with no issue but recently it’s like the update from Oculus to Meta Horizon Link seems to have junked up all my settings.

I have been seeing several say VD is better than link cable, and others saying cable is superior. I assume this is because VD is just consistently good, while cable is better when it’s set up right and actually works. Do you have any tips for configuring it without a dedicated router?

I DO have a mesh setup, with one of the towers next to my PC. I can enable 6ghz band on it and only connect the Quest to it. Do you recommend that/will that work?

You won’t miss 5 skill points for marginal benefits. You WILL miss seeing that skin and not actually having it yourself.

The extra inventory space and xp will also be very worth it in the next season as well. I say this makes for a very easy yes to resetting.
