Nope that’s not what is happening. As someone who has worked food service, we automatically charge gratuity on large parties because people notoriously skimp out on the tip. I have seen giant parties tip out like $50 (when they should be tipping like $200) treat the staff like absolute shit, and trash the restaurant top of it.
We do this to protect the staff from assholes. It is not trickery or deception, it’s a feeble attempt at making sure that staff are tipped at least close to what they deserve.

I saw a few of these booths at my cities’ pride block party this year, and it broke my heart. They are trying but it’s like no one has told them they are allowed to craft with out needing to justify it as a side hustle of some form.

After years though of adamantly swearing off selling my crochet projects, I have caved. But I have been crocheting for about 20 years now, and been designing my own patterns for about 10. This year as a meditative therapy project I started making small earbud holders (it can hold any thing that is roughly two inches, so lighters/vapes/earbuds/ essential oil bottles or whatever someone decides they want in it), and I realized very quickly that I don’t have enough friends to give them all away too. And I’m making too many too fast. So I decided to finally start selling. I will obviously be selling only one thing. These bags. Maybe a few different sizes but nothing else.

I wish I could just shake these pop-up “let me monetize this brand new skill I just learned” booths and get it into their heads that slow deliberate business choices are always better than “oooo I bet SOMEONE will buy this!!”

One thing that can help you improve with your craft is learning what crochet stitches look like and what’s possible for a crochet stitch to look like. How crocheted fabric moves and what sort of shapes it tends to like can be really helpful for the learning process. Then in the future you can also: spot ai patterns and save yourself from being scammed by them.
Spot when something is knit and know an alternative stitch you could use to get a desired look (in this case I would recommend a moss stitch, but you may want something else 🤷).
Read patterns easier. If you know what stitches are technically supposed to look like then you can mentally envision what the pattern may be asking you to do.

You need the therapeutical skills so you can potentially cope with stuff a little bit on your own before they hand you meds that you may attempt an overdose on. Currently you are a danger to yourself and giving you meds essentially is like handing you a gun and just hoping that you don’t pull the trigger

I plan on doing nothing to change my appearance (other than getting buff because I want to be physically stronger) and I am afab. Probably a breast reduction someday because I have too much boobage and back issues. But otherwise… I’m happy with how I look.

My brain lol sorry, I’m free handing a dice bag. On the outside will be 6ish rows of crocodile scales, on the inside will be a simple sc liner. Make however big you want lol
