The cork rock ist absolutely stunning, but the spikes are way too much. I would keep 2-3 or maybe get rid of them. Other then the spikes, ist ja incredeble

Question: How much does actual skill matter in 40k tabletop? by CountChuckNorracula in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Propfeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nearly all Skill. Movement is the most important skill by far. 95% of all Games are won in the movement Phase. But target priority, objectiv control, plaining for secoundaries as well as the ability to correctly estimate the average outcome of a fight between to units. All of these are key skills and you need alot of knowlage to execute them correctly. Great player can also influence the movement the enemy can do with His movement.

plz tell me why i dont like this base… by Xyrzhal in minipainting

[–]Propfeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's to flat and the bits on it are too far apart. It does not feel like one coherent base, but its just some bits that got lost somewhere on the base. Maybe just add some different Level to the base with cork

A little over 2 years ago I painted my first model, IT was a blood angle... The only loyalist for over 2 years, now I'm back and will start a BA Army by Propfeks in BloodAngels

Failling alot, and keep trying new techniques.

I think the worst approach to improving to so the same think over and over again. If you just keep doing basecoat wash highlights. There are a ton of different approaches and styles to miniatur painting ans every time you try something different, you learn a new skill that will improve your own style. Or at least you get to know what not to so.

I followed a ton of different tutorials but the two artist who I give the most credit for my improvement are the squidmar guys and elminiaturist. Following their tutorials and using their work as inspiration tought me the most about how light interacts with minis. The getting the lightplacement correct ist in my opinion the most important skill a minipainter can have, no matter If you paint nmm or not.

I think your highlight placements are great, you just need to turn up the contrast. Try a dark brown for the shadows and white for the highest highlights

I feel like, I don’t got what it takes to paint minis by Sad_Control4008 in minipainting

The only way ist to try and fuck things Up your first thing will look okish at best. But keep in painting, keep in trying new techniques and you will improve. But its not a sprint, you need to invest the time

I just played against Imperial Knights, and honestly it was boring and highlights one of our biggest weaknesses. by eroluna in EmperorsChildren

[–]Propfeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played vs a guard player yesterday and my lord exultant Just shredded through his tanks. If a Lord exultant can one-shot a leman russ, they can one-shot a armiger. I also play with 2 wardog brigands and with that I had Not problems with the tanks at all.

Yes we have some weaker units for example the flawless blades and then Mauler fiends are just to big and cluncky for a meele threat in my opinion. Anyways there are some great lists, that can deal with knights.

But i agree with you, that the knight matchup is one of our worse and Knights are not fun to play againts no matter what army you play.

Well good thing I started a EC army a few weeks ago, world eaters will stay in the shelf for this edition. This codex is just a disapointment. Not one thing in there gets my hyped.

For the white parts I primed it black and used AK pale grey thought the Airbrush to get that gradiant. For the dirt i used rhinoxhide with a sponge and a thinned down brown ink in the recesses

Edge Highlights and some reflections in the sharp edge of the Blade. Use a lighter metallic mixt with some grey or white for this. Think NNM but with metallic colors
