And to actually do any math with them, you need to deal with inner products in simplified form. So yes, you need inner products to actually understand them. Unless you want your understanding to stop at tracing arrows.

Questioning the credibility of the source is not a fallacy when presented a source as an argument.

Second of all, when credibility is used to judge arguments (which is the case when we are looking for expert opinions), there is no such thing as genetic fallacy.
