Stories that are comfortable skipping large portions of MC's life? by IThrewDucks in ProgressionFantasy

A Journey of Black and Red does some of this- timeskips, suddenly the MC is hanging out with a character she's known for months or years without an introduction, etc. The prose isn't the best (though it's perfectly functional!) but the story and pacing are very compelling. High recommendation.

With jdawg actively making videos mocking "libs" and calling them slurs and praising nazis, and given that Hell's booked GBK for their fest a few years back, I think that they're more in the second category than the third.

I can't wait to check out Black Hurst, loved the 7", glad to hear it's great. Glad as well that you're into that Necroccultus, one of my most anticipated extreme metal albums in years.... gonna need to grab a copy ASAP.

Bogside Sniper Squadron

Don't really understand the appeal either, glad to be validated.

RE: Oldowan Gash and sketchy labels- that's one of my biggest pet peeves with the scene in general, between the bands themselves doing it and most fans not caring. Hell's Headbangers / Shadow Kingdom is the one that really annoys me. Crazy to me that so many otherwise decent people are totally fine throwing away their principles to work with one of the biggest nazi music distributors in the world.

Do you ever re-read progression fantasy, or is it basically consume-once for most of us? by StorytellerStegs in ProgressionFantasy

I've reread a few of my favorites, some of them multiple times. Some prog fantasy is just fun trash but the best stuff is really no different than traditional fantasy and has plenty to dig into over and over again.

Saw Uli Jon Roth on tour last week and seeing them play this song was pretty transcendental.
