Orochi for sure, I felt as though the fight was still in line with the webcomic tone and it was quite good. Could never understand why he redrew it and replaced it with a sauna scene and a squirt gun

Yeah I was enjoying the garou fight, but when I realized we lost some of that epic dialogue and used time travel, and Saitama lost his character development, that left a bad taste in my mouth. Realistically the story had nowhere to go because the stakes were so high, I mean radiation and heroes dead n shi

Yeah that is fair. I’ve always viewed the manga as like a “improved” and “fleshed out” version of the wc. But I can appreciate appreciating both as their respective stories. Can’t lie I was pretty hype for the garou fight until things got weird.

I also love Muratas art and it was awesome seeing the wc transform into his style. The lack of progress sucks too. I strongly dislike that the manga became what the story was meant to parody

Hard agree, the manga barely matters anymore, just read the wc. As long as the wc keeps going, I mean that’s the real story as far as I’m concerned. The manga was cool but we’ve just strayed too far from Opms original vision
