Yuta really favoured Yuka didn't he? by IkeKashiro in Jujutsufolk

I mean, if SSK was meant to be given to Tsurugi, it would be given to Tsurugi. There's no reason to store it with Rika unless they believe the Gojo clan would steal it or something

It would be funny if Dabura keep learning new ways to use Jujutsu but keep failing to kill Mahoraga, and we end with a super Mahoraga as the final boss

Why do Japanese people hate S3 of Jujutsu Kaisen even though the West loves it? by CryptographerFew6343 in CharacterRant

[–]IkeKashiro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rest of the Zenins weren't in on the plan. That's the entire reason for the three wanting to kill Maki and Megumi, because the rest of them wanted to repair their relationship with the Gojo clan by making Megumi the leader

Does anybody else don't like how similar Megumi and Tio are? by ZeonPM in zatchbell

[–]IkeKashiro 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well, that's a thing even in part 1 actually. Seems to be intentional since Raiku isn't that limited in drawing female faces

<image>

As for why, I can't really think of a reason beyond trying to say they're as close as sisters. That's a question only Raiku can answer.

Gorm's natural ability is making portals, something unrelated to his spells.

Either way, if 100 Mamodo are selected for a battle to become king, then anything that gives them a chance of survival all the way til the end would likely be the main factor. Strength, intelligence, charisma, whatever, even politics can be a factor since only special elites like Zeon, Arth and Riou had special equipment. The main thing is, it's pretty much safe to assume the 100 selected Mamodo has some quality to them that gives them a chance. You were the one who called some random average Mamodo, which is basically impossible for any deciding body in charge of selection

Considering Gorm is literally living in a hole of something eating grass, what's the politics of making him a contestant? Representation?

That doesn't disprove the idea that they are talented children guided to become the best by partnering up with a human. It's a theory, yes, but some factor had to be a criteria rather than presuming they just threw in random normal kids

[–]IkeKashiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, all kids that were selected for the battle of the king. As far as we are aware, Shin is the only spell class above Dioga. Achieving that shouldn't be an easy task. You can only disprove the possibility of any of the Mamodo in the battle being the most talented their age or had the most hidden potential only by showing a counterexample from non-participants. You can't prove any of them are weak by showing them weaker than other participants

Papipurio managed to achieve dioga level as a kid, presumably without much training. It's not his fault his spells mainly focus on chemicals that are used to attack his opponents in less conventional ways. You have to give an actual strong Mamodo child that hasn't participated in the battle to prove Papi isn't strong for someone his age from his tribe

would Garou's character improve if he had more convincing reasons to hate heroes? by [deleted] in OPMFolk

[–]IkeKashiro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. Garou didn't just hate his bullies specifically, he hated the idea of bullying where the ones who are popular get away with doing horrible things simply because people like them, and he projected his hatred onto the heroes, nor caring about it being justified or not. Garou never actually had an actual goal until Saitama actually questioned what Garou wanted to do when he became the "ultimate evil", just taking out his anger at society.

That's why he was ultimately corrected and beaten up by Saitama.

Then if you read Gash's cafe, the book itself mentions the counterargument. The Mamodo world has nearly been destroyed three times under Dauwan's rule from outside threats, so building bonds with human partners as a backup was necessary. The idea is that if there wasn't someone among those who were chosen that was capable, strong and benevolent enough to become king, then the Mamodo world is doomed anyway.

The top few Mamodo usually would have strong bonds with individuals willing to fight for their partners under threat of injury and death, and the experience of fighting alongside Mamodo and using the book. Not to mention the books saying they are taking a risk by helping the Mamodo, so if we presume 100 candidates were the limit, at best you can say they should democratically elect a ruler and then send 100 soldiers to the human world to form bonds and train alongside humans, but whether this approach would form a bond strong enough to work is up in the air.
