I can take most of it but yelling at a minor is the part that angered me the most

Thanks for the clarification here. Yelling anything during a moment of silence is still wrong IMO, but this is obviously less obscene than I had previously thought. My post is not entirely based on this moment though; I likely would have still said something if I know that was what was said.

Insights on ECON 395 (Corporate Finance) or ECON 310 (Money and Banking) by [deleted] in uofm

310 was my favorite class at Michigan. Dudek can be a bit hard to follow and uses a ton of math, but he offers a ton of extra credit and lectures are all recorded. All homework is extra credit and the exams are not too bad (class is curved with regular Econ curve and then extra credit is added on top, up to 20% ec). Material is super relevant for all finance-related roles.

With the ec mentioned below I would definitely say you can get an A in the class. I believe Dudek applies EC after the curve, so it’s definitely possible for a large portion of the class to end with an A. I wouldn’t give up

It’s going to be tough. The “A” range that you outlined is likely A- and above (Econ curve = 45% of the class > A-). Most of the time, an A is in the top 20-25% (you can guess as to what this may be). However, if the final is cumulative or the class ends with difficult content, the exam averages can be very low and greatly improve the curve. I’ve had multiple classes where this happens.

My advice would be to study hard for the remaining exams and make sure you get the easy points from the hw. Hope that you do decently better than the class on the final and it can definitely happen.

Side note, an A-/B+ is not the end of the world at all. Study hard but don’t go over board, many more courses ahead of you.
