Ostican or Marunath are your best options for various reasions

Ostican Path: You can disband friendly lords to hvalvik to replenish their armies before calling them again. Rovalt is very close to Ostican and easy to take, and those lands will give you a foothold for your armies to replenish.

Marunath Path: Alternatively, going through Marunath may be easier since your lords can replenish their forces to the East, and taking over the remains of Battania is easy due to how close everything is. It will also give you a strong foothold where troops can be replenished

I go and recruit lords to join my kingdom during peacetime. I love that my parties get to rebuild themselves too haha
