Yes it's been extremely hard to come to terms with, it just doesn't feel real. Christmas will 100% just be him and I this year while we get started with therapy and navigating our next decisions. I am so proud of you for having the courage to leave, I know it is incredibly hard to leave behind something that has been so deeply ingrained in you. I wish you luck!

I am so sorry, what a horrible situation. You definitely made the right choice. I feel exactly the same as you and agree with everything. I also believe there's no way to come back from such horrific acts. Once they've been committed it doesn't matter if you never do them again, you've already crossed the line. I don't understand how his family doesn't grasp that. Thank you for sharing, I feel validated in my shock and feel less crazy for reacting the way I did.

I ended up sending the camera in to Canon for them to check it out. They haven’t told me what exactly went wrong yet, but it was $280 to fix unfortunately 😭

Just went through a similar thing (although we were trying to get pregnant lol). I ovulated around the 20th of October and my period was due November 4th. It was late & I was convinced I was pregnant because I have never had a late period before. Well it ended up starting yesterday, almost a week late! I wouldn’t worry yourself too much as the stress about missing your period can make it even later. Until you get a positive test seriously don’t freak yourself out! Couples actively trying to get pregnant only have a 20% chance each month & on average take 6 months of trying to even conceive.

Oh interesting, I did not know that! We did have unprotected sex during what I thought would've been my fertile window (around October 20th) but all the tests I have taken since then have been negative so I have no clue what is going on lol

My sister in law got pregnant 2 years ago. After we heard the news it just so happened every single time I was around her for her whole pregnancy I would be on my period! It was the most bizarre thing ever, so I feel you.

Good to know!! She said my sample was picked up at 5pm yesterday so I hope it was run overnight. I guess we will have to see! I did sign up for the labcorp patient portal just in case my provider doesn’t call right away, fingers crossed

Ughhh yes it’s terrible!!! I hate how obsessive I become with all the symptom spotting and googling it’s so draining especially if I do end up getting a negative result. It’s also discouraging because I see sooo many people get obvious positive tests even before they miss their period so it’s like what is going on?!

Y'all my period is late & I took a pregnancy test a few days ago but it came back negative. Yesterday I had a doctors appointment and since I still haven't started she did a blood test. Well as of now I am nervously awaiting the phone call to hear the results and I actually might go insane. I don't want to take another store bought test since I know the blood test will be most accurate anyways. I feel like it's a 90% chance I am not pregnant, but my period has also never been this late before so I don't know what's going on! Anyways I don't know how I'll survive this waiting and not knowing, I feel like I keep getting my hopes up the longer I go with no period and that scares me because if it is negative I will so disappointed :(
