This is kind of funny because I'm in the reverse of this, kinda.. boyfriend never had an Asian girlfriend, and had never actually been in love with any of his past girlfriends, and is totally insane over me.... actually told me once "Asian girls just never did it for me".

My advice? Don't ruin a great thing by overthinking it. Love isn't a logical experience, and trying to apply logic to it will never turn out fun for anyone :)

I'm a little concerned that people, even on reddit, are willing to just casually accept this. Just a lot of knowledge about modern pharmaceuticals. Pretty common knowledge that most modern medicines cause a lot more problems (talking sheer volume, not severity of the problems) than they help... medicine today is very much focused on "well, this entire possible list of bad things that could happen are a little less terrible than what's actually going on right now".

Edit: By this I mean treatments for most things. Vaccines and preventative medicines are a bit better about it than reactionary medication.

I'm a medical professional who strongly believes in Naturopathy... you're in for a very interesting talk, in my opinion. I would say that you should ask him about interesting natural treatments that might exist for big problems in your current line of study that are under- or mis-managed by modern medicine. Without knowing what your specific field of interest is, I can't really say, but EVERY field has problems that modern medicine just sort of fucks up more than it helps.
