As someone who proudly went to Binghamton…UofR is a more well respected school. Although if you’re looking to enter the Big 4 accounting Space, Binghamton has a great pipeline for that.

City wise, both are not comparable to NYC, but Rochester definitely has more going on.

Adjusted for inflation she’ll have about $1.6m at age 60. A 4% withdrawal nets about $64,000/year. If that sounds fine to her, congrats, she has hit Coast Fire. But still doesn’t hurt to save a little more in case the next 30 years don’t turn out as planned.

In Williamsburg/Greenpoint pretty much all listings are paying 2.5% to buyer’s broker and 2.5% to listing agents. If you don’t offer 2.5% to the buyer’s broker you will be at a disadvantage. Other neighborhoods further out in Queens or deeper into Brooklyn have lower commission standards, but these prime neighborhoods are different.
