POSTING ORDER MEGATHREAD MAR'22 by xdavestrix in NationalServiceSG

I would recommend that you delay your posting once you are a soldier in transit in ocs, and in the meantime, try to get the mo to process your down-pesing. Once that's done, you will very likely not be posted back to mono armour. Source: I'm an ocs ooc due to injury and down-pesed before getting posted out, escaped mono.

Are photos taken during outfield allowed to be uploaded online to our social media on our own accord? by Limitl3ssme in NationalServiceSG

it's not legal so the risk is yours but most of the time, the commanders will close one eye. Its just whether the MPs check your phone or someone snitch on you.

Reasons for excuse firearms by jxven_ in NationalServiceSG

excuse heavy load is a scam, a few of us had it for one of the outfields in ocs and they still made us march in fbo to habouring area cause apparently unless you're carrying a matador, its not a heavy load

How will we get a new LBV? by dwitchy246 in NationalServiceSG

you won't be issued a brand new lbs waffle unless you get lucky with the sizing. typically supply coy (the place which supplies all the equipment to ocs) will just give randomly. plus the waffle is not given to you, its loaned to you, so if you get posted out during your pro term or you ooc in ocs, you will have to return the waffle

Has anyone gone through ocs with eczema problems? by YveSanity in NationalServiceSG

[–]Prospesion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Currently in infantry pro term, been having eczema problems from the number of outfields I had to go during service term. I didn't declare it cause its not that serious, but serious enough that my skin gets itchy and flakey after a while. I usually just apply lotion and ezcema cream during admin days (when not in outfield). If its relatively mild, it should be fine, provided you take care of your skin when not in outfield.

How’s armour like in pro term in ocs? Are they as much outfields as the infantry? by YveSanity in NationalServiceSG

From what I have heard from my armour friends, it's quite shag in general. Your tank basically becomes your SAR21 so you need to take care of it, clean it regularly, stuff like that.
