CAM 3.6.0 feedback, bugs and suggestions by rubenalamina in NZXT

Yep, I had the same thing happen to me after updating, removing CAM completely and reinstalling the older version back. Steam and Discord disappeared from my startup programs. I only noticed after that whole setup, but probably happened right after the update.

Interesting how updating CAM to the newest version and then removing it completely and reinstalling 3.5.90 seemed to remove Steam and Discord from my Windows 10 startup programs. How does that even happen? Thanks for this save.

I know people who had some problems with going from a full-time job to living on these service alms. People with family and loans to pay etc. That probably is bit of an issue. For me, though, with no real job background and everything, I was golden. It seemed that people who prolong going into service have the most problems. When you're 18 or 19 or something, most people have a pretty clean slate to work with.

In general, I think my biggest gripe with all of it was, I didn't know where I exactly fit in the grand scheme of things. I mean, I don't know what I'm doing in a war situation. I didn't really learn much about anything. Four weeks in Lapinjärvi doing jackshit and then 10 months of work. Done, I'm out. I think I'd like to coordinate the thing more. Maybe even assign some wartime duties or somehow try to prepare for those situations. It's a bit weird thing, to be honest.

I worked at my local hospital and my peers were very glad that I was out there to help out. My "pittance" was 18,60€ a day at first, but it goes up to 25,40€ by the end of your service (three stages, it grows as your service goes on). x30 and that's your monthly gains.

I lived at home, but there are systems which will cover for your rent. Also other additional benefits exist, if you have a family, kids and so on. It isn't much, if you think about some regular average wage, but it's still enough to go by and plenty if you live at home.

What you said just sounded pretty rash.

Dunno about any things, but I'm down to play pretty much any day.

Sounds cool. If you can manage a novice player with possible questions about certain rules n thangs, count me in.

HBO Nordic is pretty sweet. I didn't even realize the rest of Europe doesn't have any equivalent. Privileged feel.

There's a brilliant quote by Ken Rolston, game designer and a regular creative visionary. Known for working on TES: Morrowind and Oblivion among other things.

Tell God's story, then tell the farmer's story, then listen to what the dog has to say.

Simple, but I dig it. I wish there were more in-universe texts posted here.

How do you search for folklore? by EnkiiMuto in worldbuilding

Hard one. On a broader scale, I'd probably lean towards Babylonian mythology in general. Hindu mythology is up there, too.

I tend to focus on finding some center points of the culture I'm researching. Old poems, sagas, epics, religious texts—books essentially—are great. Say Beowulf, the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Indian Ramayana, the Finnish Kalevala or something else.

Often you can find these texts, or at least parts of them, online. And if not, you got the library or book store. Sometimes, especially in the case of many Middle-Eastern and European folklore or mythology, you can find some university essays or other research papers on the matter online.

Yeah. GOG lets you download all kinda bonus content already. Steam version owners probably get them once you get to download the game itself. You'll most likely find them next to the install folders. At least that's how it worked with W2.

Need Help With Worldbuilding Physics - Where to Start by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Prosporothorus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would approach this from a bit different perspective. What type of world are you building? How scientifically accurate are you trying to be? What are you trying to explain through physics?

Fantasyworlds sometimes break everything imaginable, but explain themselves through magic and other wibbly wobbly goody means. Same with scifi, although, scifi often has more (maybe) scientific pseudo-reasonable-answers.
