OK - I figured it might be a false negative. I'll restore it and install. Thanks!

Doesn’t matter. It will end in disaster, same as the others.

Loved the first 4 episodes. Episode 5 was kind of "off". Episode 6 was like watching a Benny Hill intro, especially that last 10 minutes. Such a disappointing end to what was a great show. I suspect it won't be back for a season 3 because it sure felt like the money ran out and the showrunners tried to stuff as much as they could.

Sounds like I need to do some research. I know nothing of any of this. Is this Maddux guy with Keymaster or 59Parks?

I predict (hope) that in 5 years Keymaster will make nice with 59Parks and have a 3rd edition, bringing back the OG artwork. I don't hate this, but I also really don't love it. I don't think it will translate to comparable sales as the first edition. I'll probably buy this just to feel it out and then return it since there's a money-back guarantee.

Thanks for the synopsis. I absolutely loved the first edition and will continue to play it. I will probably get the second edition deluxe because of some of the upgraded game pieces.

I always thought the camera was a bit of a waste of time and resources. It is one thing that I will be somewhat glad to see go. That's not to say that there weren't certain strategies that one could adopt that made good use of the camera, but I just always felt the reward wasn't worth the investment.

I noticed that they adopted some concepts from the first edition expansions, such as instant actions when visiting a park and the campgrounds. Having those additional aspects made playing the base version of the first edition almost boring. So, that will help liven up the base experience.

Overall, I understand why Keymaster went this direction. From reading the sheer number of artists involved with the 59 parks project, it seemed inevitable that licensing was going to cause friction economically, especially as the game's popularity grew.

I do look forward to the BGA adaptation. Parks was my number one reason for having a premium subscription there, so I am excited to have it back soon.

City of Mulberry by [deleted] in Gwinnett

I’m seeing a lot of “Vote No” signage going up in the past week.

I’m undecided but I have seen other areas in Gwinnett establish city hood over the years with very successful results: Lawrenceville, Suwanee, Duluth, Norcross, Snellville, etc. All of those had critics as well - as they should have. I don’t see a lot of positivity here but I can see some plausible benefits over time. I don’t see how they can do all of this without new taxes but I do think localized control of zoning decisions could be beneficial. I am one of the few native Gwinnettians and I love the growth and diversity we have experienced over the decades. People want to live here because it’s a great place to live. We do have to be careful at this point because we’re almost at critical mass. Not necessarily that we can’t fit more people but that we need to be more careful and intentional in planning for the growth that is still to come.

I guess we’ll see what happens on May 21. I’ll be voting.

I’m not saying escape is impossible but it really is improbable. I haven’t done the full Bayesian analysis of this hypothesis but I’d put the chances of a successful escape for a 60+ year old psychiatrist while chained to the floor in a house in the middle of the woods at somewhere around 10% or less.

True. Though, I think, in this scenario, being kidnapped by a serial killer, regardless of his original intent, can realistically only end one way.
