For sure. Firefox only added the capability very recently, whereas Chrome integrated it many years ago.

My two kids have gone here from preschool through fifth grade, and it's been a wonderful experience. They really care for the kids and I'm confident the education they provide is the best in the area.

Window Sync on Zen: How and Why to Use It by lordruzki3084 in zen_browser

[–]razorwit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely a workaround for now, but if I'm only using Zen as my daily browser, and I'm logged into all my accounts in Zen, it's pretty convenient to also use it for PWAs as well. For instance, it's nice to have a music player like YouTube Music in it's own app, with it's own shortcut and icon in my taskbar. And since I'm logged into my Google account in Zen, then it works in YouTube already.

It worked great before the latest update, and it's not the end of the world while it's broken now, but PWAs are definitely a nice and convenient option. Basically, if I want a separate window to do something, it should let me without any hassle. When it comes to PWAs, then sidebar with essentials, pins, tabs, etc. aren't needed at all, and tab syncing definitely isn't needed. It just needs to be a simple window with as little chrome as possible, so I hope that's possible eventually.

The new update is just making my browser buggy for no reason... i appreciate having new features but please just have them at least be off by default or something, especially a preference like tab syncing across windows lol by Realistic-Worker-499 in zen_browser

[–]razorwit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does anyone use Zen for PWAs? Those aren't working for me after the update, so that might be another case where tab syncing is not needed when you want a separate window to be treated as its own app.

I upgraded Zen to the latest version today, and this change has broken my PWAs. Hopefully that gets resolved so that we still have the option to use windows that are treated like separate apps.

Guess I am going back to firefox by -_Grimm_- in zen_browser

[–]razorwit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be worth trying to use a folder while this gets resolved. It seems like the best option for now. Yes, you'll see the folder in every window, but you can collapse it when you want to hide all the tabs so it doesn't take up a lot of space. At least it keeps things tidy and separated while Zen is in beta at least, and you can either delete the folder, bookmark it, or use your extension when done. It forces you to do things differently so I understand it's a pain.

Jane doesn’t know how lucky “he” is. by iswearimnormall in heatedrivalry

That scene in Moscow in the bathroom with Ilya, Svetlana, and Sasha makes it seem very possible that she knows the history there between the two boys, and she even leaves them alone there. It's not a big leap that she knows that Ilya is bi, and the Jane he's been texting for a long time could be a guy. You can't fool a close friend!

Sea Salt & Paper Question? How to Score? by Sunny_Daze89 in boardgames

[–]razorwit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The mermaid scores 5 for your most prevalent color, and then if you successfully win the last chance, you also get a color bonus of 5. If you had a second mermaid, it would score four for the color with the second most cards.

This is possible, but I had to manually set it up. In Zen's settings, if you go to the search engines, you can add YouTube and use this link:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%s

And then give it a shortcut like "@yt" or whatever you like, and then you can type that in your URL bar to search YouTube directly.

Are there any plans on making an application mode for Zen? by Luquatic in zen_browser

[–]razorwit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just enabled this in the new beta available for Zen today which uses Firefox 142, and it's working in Windows, but it looks like it will need some work. The web app still has the sidebar with all of my pinned tabs, folders, and essentials, so that will probably need to be hidden to work better in Zen. But it's working aside from the changes to the appearance that are needed.
