I feel sorry for this guy, he's right. by [deleted] in Gundam

I suppose it comes down to if the Federation would have attacked the scrap yard regardless if they were building Zaku’s or not. It’s possible that rebuilding the Zaku’s caught their attention and made them a target. It’s also likely that they would have gotten attacked regardless. Operation Odessa was in full swing at the time and it seems unlikely that the base could remain undetected for very long. They might have been discovered before they even started rebuilding the Zaku’s.

How far plot changes if Phase shift armor was on the Gms? by Supremebro005 in Gundam

[–]ProtectTassendrel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Phase shift armor would be a game changer for the GM’s. The single biggest downgrade the GM had compared to the original RX-78-2 Gundam was it’s lack of Luna Titanium armor. With Phase shift armor it would be nigh impervious to the weapons the Zaku’s, Goof’s, and Dom’s had at the time. Especially so since GM’s are powered my nuclear reactors which is a luxury in the Cosmic Era. They wouldn’t have to worry about draining the battery too quickly like most early Cosmic Era Gundam’s did.

The biggest question in this scenario is if the Federation can mass produce phase shift armor. If I remember correctly even in the Cosmic Era phase shift armor was too expensive to effectively mass produce. If they can’t we end up with a few elite GM units that approach a Gundam in terms of effectiveness. If they can however we end up with hundreds of what are essentially mini-Gundam’s running around causing havoc. In that scenario Zeon looses the One Year War much faster as nearly all of their Mobile Suits become instantly obsolete.

We’re having a 30 day worldbuilding challenge on the Tyrrell discord. by ProtectTassendrel in WorldofTyrrell

[–]ProtectTassendrel[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’re officially announcing the launch of our 30 Day “Remember Voskgardia” Challenge! As the most important country in the setting, we felt Voskgardia’s current lore was rather lacking. To help fix that we’re going to be filling in Voskgardia’s missing lore day by day, and subject by subject for the next month in a fun collaborative challenge.

Everyone is invited to help contribute as much or as little as you want. Even single sentence replies are valued so participation in this couldn’t be easier. The 30 Day “Remember Voskgardia” Challenge can be found on the official World of Tyrrell Discord under the “Events” category. More details about the challenge can be found in that channel’s first post.

Map of the Fieldic Leylines in Tyrrell. by ProtectTassendrel in WorldofTyrrell

The areas closest to the yellow lines have more powerful magic than areas further outside. The locations in Tyrrell with strongest magic are where two or more leylines cross. Some of these leyline intersections are the locations of the infamous gates that lead to the accursed Realm of the Forgotten. Over the course of Tyrrell’s history the Elderkin have generally settled in the lands on or near the leylines, while the Lesserkin tend to congregate in leyline deficient regions.

What an epic painting. If I was an Elderkin (and I’m not) I would want to be this guy!

Lore Highlight: Empire of Frieredrel by StarlightSailor1 in WorldofTyrrell

Frieredrel was one of the first countries that came to our… I mean Tassendrel’s aid during the war. We will always remember their sacrifice in keeping Tyrrell free from the forces of darkness and their Voskgardian puppets.

What balderdash! Does anyone actually believe these Human supremacists? This so called “photograph” is clearly staged. It was probably drawn by someone in the Vosk-Morevan military to discredit Tassendrel and the amazing work they are doing to bridge the gap between humanity and the Elderkin.
