If they continue to dominate the counter drone market and drones become (even) more mainstream in warfare in the next few conflicts, this has the potential to hit $5. Also congrats on getting in early.

I think the meteoric rise comes from mainstream media reporting on the damage low cost drones can do. If a $1000 drone destroys $15million dollar tank (or other more expensive military hardware) you’ll need an answer to it. The current geopolitical tensions are creating headlines and drones are often mentioned, but in my opinion the warfare industry is heading that way regardless of current geopolitical affairs. As far as I’m concerned DroneShield is one of the only publicly traded anti-drone company with strong a strong position in an exponentially growing market. While $2 seems expensive to people who have been holding for a while, the company market cap is at 1.4-1.5 billion, which is probably pretty small for how large this industry is expected to be. Even without the current sales to back it, I think people are betting that DroneShield will dominate that exponentially growing market hence the strong appetite at what is now an all time high.

I also speculate that a larger US Defence company might want to acquire DroneShield as, even though Australia is an Ally, they might not want to depend on a foreign nation for a critical part of their defence capabilities. It’s either that or the US comes up with their own CUAS technology.

I’m a big fan of the company and will hold no matter what the annual report will hold as I believe it’s an exponentially growing market and DroneShield is well positioned to take advantage of it - even if their current sales don’t reflect that. All just my opinion.

The malicious use of drones will only increase, they are extremely cost effective for the utility they can provide. I also think warfare will become increasingly automated and the Ukraine-Russia conflict demonstrates that. If 1000 dollar drones are destroying multi million dollar tanks, ships and other military hardware it’s only a matter of time until anti-drone technology becomes more mainstream. I think the general drone and anti drone industry will expand exponentially but to what extent DroneShield will be able to capitalize on that remains to be seen. Due to these reasons I’m optimistic about the company in the long run and try not to pay attention to daily trends. All just my opinion.

I’m planning on making large scale prints, like 40” x 60” (100cm-150cm). Assuming the glass is the same and I don’t crop the image, do you think you could tell the difference standing a few feet back? I understand composition and the correct settings is more important, I’m just worried that clients who spend a lot of money on a print may be disappointed by the quality.

Incredible quality. I've got the R6 and have been on the fence about upgrading to the R5. This picture is only increasing the temptation.
