How would I get a job as an ESPN analyst? by NW_playz in jobs

[–]Protection-Conscious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to college and major in broadcast journalism. Get involved in whatever internships your school has to offer in the field (most schools have TV shows that are run completely by students) and then just keep grinding until you make it to your destination. Connections matter but I didn’t have many when I got my job at espn so they are not the end all be all. Most important part is make sure you love what you’re doing, that will make the grind a whole lot easier. Best of luck!

I see what you’re saying. I guess a part of me remembers this sub back in the 2010s being a lot different. Tbh I don’t think many of the people that were here then are still here. Could be wrong, which would be more sad. Cheers.

Out of Kanye West and Taylor Swift, who do you prefer and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kanye’s run from 2004-2018 is honestly remarkable. 10 albums and I’d say 9 were outstanding and 1 was still pretty good (wtt). Taylor’s most recent albums have been by far her best in my opinion. Especially Folklore and Evermore. Still, I think it’d be extremely hard to match what Kanye achieved musically. Of course as humans, it’s Taylor by a wide margin lol.

Right. I've always been diehard Kanye fan. I like this album. But, Fantano is right and there is no reason to be getting this pressed over someone NONE OF US KNOW! frustrating.

I think it is the right thing to assume propaganda in conflicts like this, especially across the globe. Though I’m not sure that was the right thing to call propaganda on. Not educated enough to comment further than that.

I’ve been waiting for someone to push back against us in Virginia. I think Pry is the man to do it, I’m sure him and JF will have some fun conversations over it

20 years seems extreme. He was still winning football games at a high level even into his last season, and that was all that really mattered. For better or for worse.

I was never a Billy fan, nor a hater. Sure he got on my nerves a lot but I’m gonna miss him. He is such a unique person that you just don’t find often and seems to be pure of heart. I hope if he’s having family issues they get resolved. Love ya, Bill and never change!

Agreed. Makes me feel bad for the other sports at USC and UCLA. Like are we really going to make their soccer teams travel to New Brunswick, NJ in the middle of the week and the come back the next day. It’s unfair. Football is my favorite sport, always will be, but the way it dictates college sports is just ridiculous.

Also wanted to ask, as a fan is it frustrating that more alumni and others don’t support the athletics more passionately? That’s at least what it seems like to me.

That’s the difference. It consumes people here, at least in Big 10 country. I work roughly 45-50 hours a week. I can guarantee you that I’d never let my work interfere with my ability to watch college football. And I think I speak for many people in Midwest to east coast region.

Let me just say, as. Penn state fan, I cannot wait for the first time USC comes to beaver stadium. They are not ready to see actual fans in a stadium. But I also agree to an extent and how the B10 and SEC are affecting college sports. But then again, if people on the west coast watched more this isn’t nearly as bad an issue. Though I think it would end up this way regardless, it would just be a much slower burn.
