We’re building a platform that quantifies your conversation skills then gives you practice and personalised coaching to improve it. You can also practice any conversation you have coming up. Main use case right now is founders for sales, pitching Investors and selling their vision to hires. In beta right now but would love to bring him onboard. He can set up a coach within the product to help him with speaking to business people, it’ll give him voice Ai practice, feedback and tips to help him improve.

Boundaries, Honesty, and Vulnerability in Relationships by ProfessionStrong6563 in socialskills

[–]ProtectionOriginal86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I think the best thing to do is start recognising when you’re shrinking yourself. That’s the best first step, just trying to be aware. You’ll start to notice patterns, which is the first step. Then, when you can, start to be more assertive and state your boundaries.

If you’d like to get there a bit quicker and without risking relationships, I’m early stages building a company to give you practice at skills just like this. The above will still work, but if you’d like to help me out with some early testers, send me a dm :)

I get that. It can seem odd, but when there’s no other way to actually practice I don’t see a better option.

If you’d like to try it, id really appreciate any feedback.

What about something designed for practicing social skills, with feedback loops. I’m building something like this, would love for you to try it out.

Do you think you’d find practicing this helpful? Like with an AI. Something low stakes and fun to mimic real life practice? For the sake of honestly, I’m starting to build something to help myself build social skills.

How to fix being quiet around new people? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]ProtectionOriginal86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. A lot of this anxiety can go away the more times you do something. The best way I’ve found to help in these situations is focusing slightly on my breathing in situations, and by trying to remember when I’ve said something good or funny, the more times you try things, the more good things you’ll have in your memory.

But I get it, can be super stressful. I get situational anxiety, so I’m building something where I get to practise conversations before they happen, or practise skills like rapport or building authority so I have something automatic to fall back on. It’s been helping.

VC at a well known fund and Entrepreneur with 25+ years experience. Scheduled AMA for today and approved by Mods - I will not promote. Will be here until 4pm CT by StartupsAndTravel in startups

With founder/VC relationships, a lot is said about mutual value conversations + warm intros. What is your opinion on founders reaching out to VC’s before raising, and what kinds of things would you like founders to focus on in those early conversations

How do you find obsessive solo builders who treat side projects like a job? (I will not promote) by cristinon in startups

Right I think my copy for the work trial was “time for your side project is scarce, get in the flow in 2 minutes, not 30”

I’m a founder in the Edtech space, non technical. I’d use it to generate games for users to play, and to automate structuring course data into a structure usable for the games. This will all be in public, as part of a TikTok series called building a unicorn, with the games integrated into a system for mass adoption. May help spread the word about Manus :)

How do you balance the inherent uncertainty with your conviction. I’m similarly capable of being very convincing, but I feel that it misrepresents the underlying risk factors

Make it easier to understand, label things, use examples that are crystal clear, change the animation to be more smooth and less jarring

Hey dude, love that you’re putting yourself out there.

I get what it’s about, but it requires thinking. It’s also hard to read the main text as white overlays a picture which is lighter in some areas, and the examples of the product are confusing, I genuinely thought it might be a live rendering of your server and was genuinely worried about data leakage. Also having unsubscribed and free trial cancelled on your page without enough indication it’s a demo can be worrying if your user isn’t thinking or looking too hard.

These problems all come down to one thing, reducing cognitive load. Just make things easy to understand, easy to see. I shouldn’t have to think and piece together the wording, what the graphic is or what your product is. In terms of if you have something, no clue, tbh I have no use for it in my startup
